Hah. I was incredibly drunk when I wrote all that out. I actually forgot I did it. 
But yeah. A tare button. And I know all the clicks and tricks. A button that ignores all cargo in the hold prior to the button press. Either lasting until you cancel the effect or dock. Simply a convenience thing.
Also I’ll definitely try to remember to put my idea in the right forum the next time I’m drunk forum diving.
