I’ve cross posted this from here but this post will be more generic rather than asking about EVE Uni
My characters date back to early 2007 with heavy activity between then and 2012 then I had spots of activity between 2012 and 2020 with my most active stint between these being 2014-2015.
The issue I have is that everything is gone, I mean everything. Everyone I used to play with has left, corp is dead and old HQ in the WH is looooonnnnggg gone. I’ve made posts in the past about returning and where to go but I end up playing mostly solo and then leaving again because well, it’s lonely, especially when you are reminded of the “old days” if you just do the same thing you did back then haha.
Some of my personal preferences
I play casually, I’ll never be an everyday 4-5 hours per day player ever again. I’m into my mid 30s now and have actual real life stuff to do so I may disappear for days, or even a week or 2 at a time (this is particularly true during summer because it’s the season where 95% of my hobbies take place)
I’ve never been big with PVE and prefer PVP but I’m impartial to the odd bit of PVE with good people for just chillin’ but I have little to no interest in doing this in highsec
I want a network of people to play with and services to access, a good example is freight services so I can move large amounts of ships and parts to hotspots/near hotspots so I can run small gangs
Schedules events/things to do, with my real life schedule having a time and place to be is a bit easier to manage
Absolute no F1 fleet botting, I have zero interest in large scale fleet fights because it’s boring
Good spread of active players across many time zones would be great, I may be on early morning (GMT) or late, it depends on my schedule that day
My issue with personal retention is because I don’t have anyone in game to play with, it’s as simple as that. I feel like what I’m asking for doesn’t exist because no one is interested in having someone that has sporadic periods away and the corps/alliances that do are usually too small to have people online or say they do XYZ and never do .

90m SP with high spec into Frig/Destroyer/cruisers, limited capital SP investment but can fly some battleships with lvl4/5 skills
Self sufficient, I don’t need isk or financial support to take part
Majority of my characters life doing PVP, between 2007 and 2009 I most roamed null, 2009 onwards I was in WHs for almost 5 years. After that it’s lowsec/null stuff again
Never ran incursions, rarely ran WH sites, huffed gas a handful of times, done a little FW back when they broke it and made LP dogtags super profitable, highsec missions I done when I started and have never went back, refuse to mine

Happy to chat if you want to pop me a message ingame or, check out our post. We’re pretty relaxed and I’d like to get some more pvp guys in. There is a LOT of content available in PVP in provi, my sporadic RL schedule also just doens’t allow for the organisation of impromtu fleets.
Sinc emaking this acocunt a couple years ago, I haven’t had much luck with small gang pvp teams so just run the corp and help eveyrone make money. Would be nice to actively get back into pvp.
Sorry you have lost all the elements of the game that used to make you log in. But you can rebuild. And you are right that who you fly with, your Corp home, will make all the difference.
