I am not involved with alliances or capital fights. But I did like to dabble with capitals.
It was one of the few remaining things I did in the game. One of the few reasons I earn ISK for. One less thing to keep playing for.
Even having to use covert ops to move a freighter around is a bridge too far. I’d have to factor in losing multiple expensive ships each time I needed to move it around. When it was a cheap frigate, that was okay.
I think it may be the final straw for me.
if u are a solo player , u had no chance to move it anyways always needed an alt , now its a recon insead of a rookie but same ammount of accounts as befor

There goes umbrella groups. Capital ships without cyno to cover is useless. Umbrella groups resulted in some of the largest battles I’ve ever seen. Without cyno on Rorq and carriers they are dead. Once again CCP has no grasp on what the changes they make will do to the game. I’ve already cancelled my account. I truly now believe that CCP wants to force everyone back into Highsec and have nullsec vacated.
Great now i need other alt if i wanna rat in a cap or rorqaul mine, no thanks.
every cap or rorqaul miner you need 3 accounts to be safe, if you wanna save a carrier its gonna be dead before you get the cyno in. if you are saving a super cap you are gonna need 1-5 things, if no inhib you need to bring in 1 recon.
if if there is a inhib 3 ship again, bridge it to the system warp to the range get out off inhib range drop cyno down, rag drops in pops inhib then you warp a seconded recon in to the super to get fax in on it.
if there a inhib and a bubble you now need a cepter to come in and pop in get a bounce then do the last.

My only question is why not give us something that can have a fit more tanks to prevent sun jumps and more then 1 time use on these in bigger fights?

I get the super/cap nerf and maybe even nully t3c, but not every other ship except those 8… that’s just silly. Please rethink this…

well., this fcks over Industrials., after the tank nerf to Rorqs, now we cant fit a rescue cyno either?! WTF CCP going pure PVP and fcking over your Indy/PVE players now!!!
Probably not. It’s slightly less convenient, but you just need a force recon on hand to light the cyno instead of the super doing it himself.
Supers are survivable enough for one cyno ship to cover a system. Umbrella folks will be fine.
Surely there are more interesting ways to limit capital oppression other than a very knee jerk heavy handed change to what ships can fit cynos. Here are some suggestions which would be far more interesting from a gameplay perspective:
- A new type of ECM that disrupts a cyno to prevent jumping to it.
- A new HIC type disruption field module that prevents lighting of cynos within its radius.
- Changing the impact of lighting cynos on certain hulls e.g. reduce resistances if a cyno is lit outside a subset of ships.
- A module that impacts the jump in location to a cyno (throws you in another system in constellation, another location in system.
Not a fan of these very heavy handed, sweeping changes with what appears to be very little thought, especially given the length of time the mechanics have operated.
If these were the only changes to this mechanic, this the idea is horrible. To make this work, CCP should also consider one or all of the following:
- Rebalancing recons and blops for more tank, smaller sig radius
- Massively reduce cyno cycle time
- Give ships a few seconds of invulnerability after lighting cyno
- Include covert frigates and Stratios to the list of eligible cyno 1 hulls
JFs can jump to covert cynos now. They stay up a very short amount of time, and being a little clever about it should make it rather difficult to lose the Cheetah or whatever else they decide to use. It’s not even like they’re that expensive, and if you’re a JF pilot you’re already a double digit billionaire.
