Many times I will find a relic/data site, warp to it, only to find someone cargo scanned it, got the good stuff and left. This is frustrating. I see that this topic has already been discussed a few times before
my suggestions are either to
remove cargo scanning from relic/data sites (which was already suggested in 2019, so probably won’t happen)
or, once the loot at the site has fallen below a certain threshold (1m isk?) expedite it’s despawning
provide some kind of reward for players who complete the site
All just part of the job. They do already start a shortened timer after the first time they have been warped to. Treat them no differant than the ones that spawn naturally with basically no value.
This is the downside to running sites in populated areas.
It’s also a punishment to the local sov holders and local residents from day-trippers, hostile neighbors and other entities not necessarily on friendly terms with locals. This is a perfectly fine and EVE-like mechanic. CCP even introduced this for mining with the C-type mining crystals. Aggressive farming in every way is a gameplay experience in line with the core game principles of EVE.
