How does CCP prove anyone is botting? The script just simulates clicks or keypresses. Still, CCP manages to ban bots. How?! /s

I’m sure CCP are smarter than that and can figure out that if someone manages to recloak on dozens of accounts every 12-14 minutes for hours in many systems day in day out (even in systems that don’t have any mobile observatories and therefore lack a reason to recloak other than that no human interaction is needed that way), it is very suspicious.

No matter how you want to twist it, scripts don’t really behave the same way players do.

Botting is magnitudes more complex than a script running for a single keystroke. You can detect patterns if you watch the logs of a bot for long enough. Because bots are programmed to react to a number of events. A single-action script does not. I have actually worked on that field for years, and I am not trying to twist anything. A simple keystroke script, programmed at best into the mousedriver or something similar, cannot be detected because the response variation isn’t large enough to safely determine that the actions done aren’t done by a human with a simple timer.

Nobody of them runs “dozens of accounts” that de- and recloak all the time, they are a gang of people, many of them multiboxing and nobody needs to watch more than 1 or two scouts. And they don’t need to do that “all day long”, just during the hours they are active anyway. Its really not that hard to do similar things in a WH with your holescouts, I am actually doing it manually, dscanning every so often even on the scouts, probably even a lot more often than every 15 minutes. It becomes a habit. So someone de- and re-cloaking every like 15 minutes for 2-3 hours in a row is TOTALLY something a human can do if he likes to. I do more demanding things on alts more often while playing with the main.

Haha, just saw that. So you mean that capital pilot who jumps into a non-empty hostile system where he then cloaks and realizes that has no exit-Cyno available within 15 minutes so he can b decloaked with a MOBO? That one?. Sorry mate, but this guy deserves to die.

And btw, if you do see him jumping in, he has to use a CYNO. Which creates a BEACON, warpable from the entire system. So you can just warp any ship to it and you will know where he is and can decloak him pretty easily if you have enough people who could otherwise “drop a 100 MOBOs”.

Really, from all things you could have made up, thats actually the worst possible example. And basically anything faster than a capital can easily decloak, warp off and make another safespot and cloak again before you can combatprobe + tackle him.

You only need your fleet up long enough to finish whatever you’re doing in system. People in null have gotten way too soft and think they should just be able to operate in perfect safety

That’s a problem why? If you are in Null Sec, you are supposed to secure your space. If that’s too much to ask for, you leave. I find it incredibly comical how much Null Sec dwellers complain about risks and dangers in that part of the cluster these days.

I’ve been camping certain parts of Null Sec for a while now, and a lot of people have indeed moved on because they could not deal with the pressure of my presence. Incidentally, it was only those that came totally unprepared, just wanted to rat and mine AFK and not do anything to safeguard their fleet. However, others have just kept going with even minimal defense effort in ships that can counter my ship(s) just fine. They also started doing their business when I could not be online.

Remove cloaking. Be a man or don’t. Done.

Don’t undock…?
