WHY IS WALLET SO HUGE???

Um, seriously. No compact mode? The new wallet UI has so much empty space. Please give me the option to not make it so goddamn H U G E

Yup. I think the new wallet UI is great from the perspective of new players. The fact that LP is right there in the wallet UI is awesome - they wonā€™t have to just accidentally stumble upon the concept after 6 months of mission running.

Seriously?? Its already thereā€¦ open wallet window and click on ISK (top left) ā€¦ or Click 2x times on Plex or 2x on Loyalty Pointsā€¦

Iā€™ve actually checked if thereā€™s such an option at the main button ā€¦
ā€¦ and it WORKED!

Thanks, though!

There is a tiny arrow on the right side,
which allows you to remove the bottom part.

It doesnā€™t really make it better, though.

Youā€™ll seeā€¦

Buying 51% of tickets give you 51% chance of winning, no less, no more. Buy 1 ticket from 512 and you have ~0.2% chance to win no matter what.
Or just donā€™t use that sh!t and buy from market, you know.

Exactly, trying your luck statistically is looking like that:

You buy 512 tickets in 1 raffle for the best effect (because it guarantees the win, 512 raffles dont guarantee it) and you win, but you had to overpay massively for that item.

The best way is to use market that in comparison have promotions going on all the time.

ALL THOSE RAFFLES IS BASICALLY A NEXT LEVEL SCAMS.

Only not one person is scammed but multiple ones in smaller bits.

Cons succeed for inducing judgment errorsā€”chiefly, errors arising from imperfect information and cognitive biases. In popular culture and among professional con men, the human vulnerabilities that cons exploit are depicted as ā€˜dishonesty,ā€™ ā€˜greed,ā€™ and ā€˜gullibilityā€™ of the marks. Greed, the desire to ā€˜get something for nothing,ā€™ is a shorthand expression of marksā€™ beliefs that too-good-to-be-true gains are realistic. Gullibility reflects beliefs that marks are ā€˜suckersā€™ and ā€˜foolsā€™ for entering into costly voluntary exchanges. Judicial opinions occasionally echo these sentiments.

states now sponsor gambling operations and lottery monopolies to balance their budgets on the backs of their poorest and most vulnerable citizens

And EVE players are no different than those citizens.

I stand corrected

Donā€™t be so unconfident. Just buy stuff while on mouseover over those panels.

Tech/UI part. The HyperNet Relay UI isnā€™t good enough to work with big arrays of data. Firstly, it must have the ability to scale in different modes up to full screen. Primoridally, all Browse data should be displayed in a much more compact mode (like 50 records per page), while atop right in he middle of the form must be a big search box like the Google one, instead of the info and Refresh button. The filter always must be displayed by default. Itā€™s hard to work with the current filter menu. Current filtering model is more suited for mobile devices. All view modes (including ones for History tab) should have the Detailed, Normal and Compact view modes. Big Detailed view mode must be used mainly for filtered data. The Create tab looks comfortable, informative and useful. Also, there are cases when the UI goes into infinite downloading mode, while I tried to view the history of just processed stuff (purchased).

as opening a market order always opens the market windows, so i canā€™t see where things go faster now

What? Not sure what you mean by opening a market order. What I said can be made faster now is opening the Market Orders window itself, which is what the player I was replying to complained required more steps than beforeā€¦

Using the Market Orders window after it has been opened already is neither faster nor slower than before. It works the same as it did before this change.

Um, not sure sure why everything need to be confusing as ā€œFā€. I think I just might have paid 70mil x 5 for a large injector and not won it which is ok. But what happen to my 350mil? Did I pay for someone else to get it? because if thatā€™s the case well the HYPERNET is STUPID itā€™s just a fixed gambling game to lose your ISK. There is no such thing as RNG people. Should maybe be a warning you might lose your shirt should you use this HYPERNET.

Indeed. This is the primordial point of this so called ā€œraffleā€ system.

For example, on Sisi server, I made a HyperNet offer for a Keepstar for 54 tickets, if Iā€™m not wrong on qunatity. Some guy bought 15 of them while I paid for the rest of them and he won the raffle.

It works the same way as, for example, medical insurance works. You pay for general medical services for yourself or anybody else. But as soon youā€™ll need a more specific or additional service - you need to pay for addition insurance services or for medical treatment entirely.

What we need ā€¦
ā€¦ is SteinerMath!

So Iā€™m genuinely curious, what did you think/expect was going happen (in the instance you win and the instance you donā€™t win)?

Regards,
Cypr3ss.

And whats even cooler is that since itā€™s not your cup of tea . your not forced to participate.

Maybe in the third world, like the US of A.

Itā€™s quite fascinating how the criticism has already ended while everyone is probably stuck ingame gamling away their ISK
