You’re trying to reason with someone who historically isn’t exactly factual and who will be dishonest if it suits his agenda, is one of the more prolific chronic crybabies crying and raging about everything and anything and who, magically, always has weird issues.
That doesn’t make any sense because it’s a completely different aspect. You are comparing apples and cucumbers.
First of, Abyssal multiboxing exists, as we have already established. Your argument is off on the wrong foot here. Why are you misrepresenting what has been written already?
Secondly, you need a ton more characters to make the same amount of ISK that you generate with Abyssals. You cannot make as much ISK with mining with 3 chars in the same amount of time as you can with Abyssals. You need more chars to make that same boatload of ISK.
Does this make sense to you? I sure hope so.
Besides: How do you know that there aren’t massive multiboxers in Tier 1-3? Those can be run with ease in Gilas without much in the way of risk and management overhead.

That is absolutely not his point. Abyssals demand a lot more interaction from the pilot to generate money. So it is a LOT more demanding to multibox there than it is when mining. If people COULD mass-multibox HighTier Abyssals (T5/T6), they would do it, because there simply is no limit in the money these people want to earn within a specific timeframe…
However, multiboxing just scales up badly for the Abyss. Running 3 Frigs in a T5/T6 is pretty stressful and you still lose setups every now and then, you have to run a complete logistic chain in the background to re-supply you with fresh ships if you want to keep that running. Even if you would run a “multibox setup” of 10 completely overtanked Gilas that literally cannot die in T3 or T4 any more, no matter what spawns there, you would have to:
- approach the next gate
- launch drones
- manually attack the biocache (ignoring the other lootcaches for making things easier) since drones won’t do that on their own
- manually fight spawns that simply eat drones in seconds (Cynabals, Drone BCs)
- tractoring in the loot (or using an MTU)
- pulling in the drones
- jumping to the next room
→ repeat all of the above x3 per Client each 5 minutes. Which means 50x every 5 minutes if you have 10 clients open.
And after all that you make maybe 50M per Gila and Hour in a T3 if you only loot the Biocaches and lets say 80-90 in a T4. With investment costs of at least a billion ISK per char (clone and fit).
Compare that to launching 10+ Mackinaws and just activating the lasers and goin afk for 15 minutes, then emptying the cargoholds and run 1 cyle of Compression on the Orca. Repeat. It is absolutely logical why people chose to mine instead of multibox lowclas Abyssals.
