Devblog: War, War Sometimes Changes

Been and done it, ill leave myself unsubbed along with the others that left.

Was sticking around to find out what the changes were going to be and its obvious that the anti-war CSM got their say in things and anyone actually involved in the mechanics got shafted.

So if we merge with TEST, we can war dec everyone for cheap with the Keepstar HQ in peri?

Creating a corp called, TEST Collective - Do not ignore.

Maybe it’s because certain people have abused the bugs so shamelessly that CCP finally had to step in?

But I agree that the bug with dissolving the alliance should be also fixed, if that it still happening.

I didn’t know that the logi being in your corp or alliance made them not work, thats really strange. Sucks dude :stuck_out_tongue:

You know that dreddit is recruiting?

Why is that? Why were wardecs suddenly a priority when Goon pets started contesting hisec markets? Also even if it is happenstance it still doesn’t explain why the neutral logi changes benefit single-corp/alliance blobs over diverse fleets. Wardec campers/gankers will find another way to disguise their numbers.

That keepstar is looking like a better and better investment for TEST. I hope that other highsec wardeccing corps launch keepstars of their own!

You know we’ve been working on wardecs since before any of that started right?

Why do i doubt this

The asset safety part won’t matter - war-deccer’s will be setting up the cheapest solution, no assets to drop.

The war declaration system has been a hot topic, with changes expected, ideas kicked around at Fanfests, for years!

I believe any version of this is covered in the March fixes.

I know my version of this was posted in 2015

(There are differences of course. But it’s pretty close)

Would be even more funny to see a Marmite and a PIRAT corp in TEST. Imagine the HS chaos. I’ll pay for the wars, they’re super cheap now!

So going by those 3 conditions, if I was to bait someone into enagaging me while I’m flagged suspect (creating a limited engagment) and was to then receive reps from neutral logi, they would not be concorded!?

We all know you posted that using your Goon provided time machine Steve, don’t lie to us

Or better yet just imagine all the crying people would do if all the mecs collapsed into one alliance and trippled the logi blob, ccp would probably just remove logi then to keep ns carebears happy

If you are not involved in a war, that is correct.

CORRECTION: providing remote assistance to a player in high sec who is currently in a limited engagement will be a criminal offence, regardless of their war status.

the funny thing about the logi changes is it will effect nullsec coalitions more than anyone. Now that there are large subcap fights happening over keepstars and stuff in perimiter. If the nullsec mega coalitions want to fleet up for a fight, each individual alliance making up the coalition better have their own logi wing as cross repping results in death.

Interested to see how the other changes will play out when the changes happen.

Would the CSM minutes from before that conflict began in which we had a meeting specifically about War Declarations convince you?

How would players know when CCP communication about long term issues is sporadic at best? I won’t get into all the things CCP has promised they were working on which got canned.

It also still doesn’t explain why the neutral logi changes favour the blob over diverse groups coming together to fight a common enemy. The smart thing for hisec gank alliances to do after these changes is just to merge and make a big enough blob that smaller hisec corps and merc corps can’t fight back effectively because the defenders have to split their logi.

A decent solution would be to allow the creation of temporary war coalitions which corps/alliances can join and share common wardecs and allow mutual assistance.
