yes
This also means next year during Burn Jita, repping the freighters will get you CONCORDed.
I read this different. If your logi is in the same corp as you, you can freely rep. Not a big change for suspect baiters.
So I’ve read the blog and MOST the comments here and I’m still a little confused on how it works. Say I am suspect baiting and someone takes the bait is it still possible for me to bring in a Logi pilot in the same corporation as mine with friendly fire on and outside of an active war without being CONCORDs newest meal or is suspect baiting with Logi being eliminated completely?
Correct, unless you are in the same corp as the freighter.
As I read it, if any of the below points are true:
- is involved in a war (including normal wars or FW)
- does not share a corp/alliance (or FW side if the war in question is the FW war) with the assistor
- is engaged in PVP (has a capsuleer logoff timer)
The neutral logi will be concorded. So in case of suspect baiting, where you get a PvP flag initialy when you return fire, the 3rd condition holds.
Okay as a member of a Merc corp.
We have to pay 100mill for 1 week against a HQ structure… however if they have multiple structures we cant touch them? Also does this mean we have to pay another 100mill like we do already to keep the war going until the structure is comes out of reinforcement? Or will the war last until the structure is dead/repaired.
Okay.
Not “any” …, “all” must be fulfilled.
Arh, true… Didn’t see the “all”. Then I suppose suspect baiting is not dead?
Not sure I agree with this, but how about if the war headquarters structure must be within x jumps of the defender’s structure. That would largely preclude someone putting the war headquarters up in deep Aridia, Solitude, Placid or Molden Heath unless that is where the war is occurring.
If you’re goal is to make war deccer’s have skin in the game make it genuine skin that can be as accessible as their war targets structure.
War goes for a week, you pay another 100M a week. You can hit any of the structures, but the one they designated as their HQ is how you ‘win’.
Because, you know, highsec wars are all about ‘winning the war’ not about ‘shooting the other guy until he stops undocking’.
It’s pretty funny, him blaming you for Lebowski nuking his posts.
Not sure if that has been mentioned yet, but war declaration cost formula in the web article needs fixing - it is missing an escape character \ before *s to avoid them turning text to italics.
The risk is, tbh, pretty minimal.
The reinforcement timers see to that.
Some things I don’t like about the changes:
-
It absolutely caters to Alts Online. Note how Arrendis has repeatedly shown how people can and do get around the new Logi restrictions already by using alt corps. Meanwhile, the person who does not wish to play multiple characters is completely blocked from helping friends who may have a different in-game lifestyle.
-
It’s a bit alarming to see CCP focus on people joining player corps when your personal experience is that acquaintances who join player corps generally: last less than a month in corp, stay in an NPC corp for either months afterward, or try another player corp right away (and leave that quickly too), and have a dismal retention rate. The exception is among people who don’t follow the “player corps are the best!!” dogma, and form real connections with people first, ie, the exact opposite of what’s being measured.

Congrats, CCP. I’m now banned from even more highsec PVP scenarios! Mining/Industrialist friends are wardecced? Sorry, I can’t help. I don’t have an alt for that. PVP-focused friends need help taking the war to a highsec entity? Oooh. That’s banned now too.
I’m relatively certain on careful reading that this is not the case, there are 3 conditions that need to be fulfilled to get concorded
- is involved in a war (including normal wars or FW)
- does not share a corp/alliance (or FW side if the war in question is the FW war) with the assistor
- is engaged in PVP (has a capsuleer logoff timer)
the devblog then says
After the April release, the penalty for direct targeted neutral assistance meeting the conditions above
Repping a freighter that is being shot by suicide gankers does not meet condition 1 and thus will not get concorded. I am 100% fine with this.
And waht about adressing the fact that wars can be dodged by Transfering Ownership of the structures that let a corp be war eligable?
Ur corp Anchors a structure.
Enemy crop starts a war.
You Transfer the structure which makes ur corp not eligable for war-
And the war ends in 24 hours.
Why are corps allowed to transfer structures during wars?
And what is CCP going to do if i decide to wardec Marmite. Decalre the cheapest citadel i have for my War HQ and then deanchor it? Will Marmite have to wait 2 weeks to be in war with me?
Have you tried this?
I suspect you haven’t…

And waht about adressing the fact that wars can be dodged by Transfering Ownership of the structures that let a corp be war eligable?
If you are at war you cannot transfer away your structures.
