Disparity of faction BPC -> end product price

So I was looking at some Federation Navy bpc’s because apparently I amased couple thousand LP points in the past.

The Comet costs a couple thousand LP points + 10mil isk, the materials to build it around 2mil and they sell as finished products in bulk at around 8-9mil.

Aside from chip swaps for SoE I haven’t interacted much with loyalty stores. How does that price disparity make sense? Is it LP or ISK trade, not both? Do they drop some other way, like a pirate faction bpc for example?

Navy ship BPCs only make sense when bought from FW corps.

It is most definitely by design, as an incentive.

From the Fuzzwork website, I see there is 3 differents offers for the Comet, but only one is “green” (meaning that’s a good choice), and that offer cost 4000LP + 2M ISK (Fuzzwork estimate that 1LP = 1000 ISK, so the offer is 6M ISK worth)

Whereas, if you buy the same from a normal “security” corp, like Federation Navy, it cost 30000LP… or 30M ISK worth.
