This is one of the worst missions to be using drones for, all variants of it are decidedly drone unfriendly, the elite ships munch them like popcorn. You’re better off with a missile boat tbh.

This has numerous elite frigates that love to kill drones, it’s doable in a drone boat but you have to keep your drones on passive and a rack full of guns or missiles in the high slots.
Spawn management will also help with drone aggro, if you don’t already know the triggers then eve survival is your friend.
