And on December 19 I will be live on the Twitch Frontpage, showcasing EVE to a large audience.
Sooo, you say this is a giveaway yet the post states these ships will be Raffled on various media platforms…
Just to be clear:
A raffle is a type of lottery or game of chance where participants purchase tickets for an opportunity to win prizes, with the winners selected through a random drawing. Raffles are a popular method for fundraising for charitable or social purposes.
While I applaud the intention of the giveaway to create more engagement, my question is how will the names be selected and does a ticket need to be purchased for names to be added to the list of possible winners?
The names will be selected by the following methods:
Discord: The Giveaway bot will select the winners automatically once the raffle expires.
Youtube: The winner will be selected through a site called comment picker, and if the selected one provided his character name in the comments, he gets the prize.
Twitch: Raffles happen through moobot, and every 30 min a winner gets selected.
You don’t need to purchase any tickets, as that would be against the EULA. Any form of raffle where you have to buy tickets, either for ISK or real money is not allowed. All you need to do to enter is to comment, type !raffle in twitchchat and enter the giveaway on my Discord. All is 100% free.
