Hello, as a beginner to ratting and with relatively low skill points i am trying to get the 8/10 escalation. I was lead to believe that Hubs was the best for this. However i seem to be getting a capital escalation instead of the 8/10. Does anyone know if this is intended?
What makes you doubt it is intended?
If I see that my hub escalates to a capital escalation I would assume that hubs can indeed escalate to capital escalations, but maybe that’s just me.
If it is because your sources said nothing about capital escalations: they may be outdated. These capital escalations were added last summer. You can also get other escalations.

You can also continue until you get a subcapital escalation.
If you don’t want the capital escalations to go wasted: try selling it to someone in your alliance who can do the capital escalations. That’s what I did with mine.
It seems like getting a capital escalation from a Hub is a bit exessive, i also had trouble selling it. Was it easy for you to sell it?
In any case i probably wont be ratting again. I wonder if i could find something that is actualy enjoyable. Seems like options are running out but i digress.
Understand that this is a sandbox game and at no point did the devs designate what systems were hubs. The hubs were decided by where players went most. So this idea you have that " it’s a hub! It shouldn’t be tuned like this!" Has some math errors in it
