Eve improvement ideas

I don’t want that.

I already have it.

Er….that’s ass backwards. The onus is on you to show you have a good idea…not on others to show its a bad idea. And simply trotting out the word ‘gatekeeping’ isn’t part of proving your idea is good.

We aren’t actually obligated to teach you how to play the game. However, if you send 1 billion isk, I will explain a few things to you.

And I have pointed out

  • Current stats problems
  • Availabillity problems
  • Sales volume figures
  • fitting usefulness problems

that my idea should fix

Got only pushback, “bad idea, current system works” without any evidence, data, other perspective that proves it is bad idea

The deployable could have a hefty price tag to go along with a lengthy unanchoring time that would leave it vulnerable to gankers. Say, 100m isk. Which is around the cost of a porpoise hull, but without boosts or remote shield reps.

Like the poroise, it would also probably only work in regular asteroids. No moon rocks or ice blocks.

The real reason CCP won’t do it is because they want people paying for 4~50+ accounts instead of just one.

While that solves one of the two things in-space compression is created for (i.e. to create higher reward for higher risk), it doesn’t solve the other of the two things in-space compression is created for: to encourage cooperation.

CCP wants miners to work together and form fleets to mine.

You can also just play with other people in a fleet if you want to make use of their mining boosts, you know.

And the benefit of flying in a fleet are the not insignificant buffs from boosting, as well as the general power of safety in numbers.

Solo miners should still have something to fall back on. And again, this would likely have no ability to compress ice or moon rocks. So you’d still need to fleet for those. You shouldn’t need to ping a mining fleet just to get basic materials.

You don’t have to ping a mining fleet to get basic materials.

But you’ll be more efficient with some mining support ships in the fleet, intentionally.

Solo mining is the fallback.

the REASON why Pyfa and all other 3rd party exists, is simple.. CCP knows gamers will be more equipped and “smarter” than them to create the tools without CCP having to just shove everything into the game.

Thats why basic stuff is in game, and more advanced features were added to the ESI’s and such for all 3rd party programming.. CCP doesn’t want half of the 3rd party stuff in game. they are happy with it out of the game..

Star Citizen is what happens when you try to shove absolutely everything into a single game. Most of us will die of old age before RSI releases a finished product.

Btw you can use the structure browser in game to find player owned structures with refineries that you can dock at and compress inside the station
