Will achievement progress start from 0 for everyone or will it take into account the character’s history?
For example, if there was an achievement for “kill 1000 non-capsuleers” and someone has already killed 2000 before before June 9, will that character automatically be rewarded the achievement when they log in after June 9? Or will everyone start from a counter of 0 regardless of what they have done in the past?
The Gallente and Amarr objectives seems to have practical rewards in the form of new mining drones and tackling modules, respectively. Whereas the Minmatar and Caldari objectives seem to just be storyline fluff.
Even if the Amarr or Gallente fail they get something. A lesser version, but still something.
The Caldari and Minmatar don’t seem to really get anything of value if they succeed and they get nothing if they fail. In the case of the Caldari, the Gallente get something (LP store items) if they fail and the Caldari get is a new gate between Blackrise and Syndicate if they succeed and the Syndicate LP items. Minmatar literally get nothing at all if they fail. Unless humiliation is something and the Amarr getting to raise a monument in honor the Matari’s humiliation. Does anyone care about phased fields?
Does this seem fair? Amarr still get 3 months of -50% taxes even if they fail. Gallente still get a new jump route even if they fail.
Having the Syndi items more readily available is actually pretty good imo. New mining sites for the Minmatar is also pretty good, especially based on the very lucrative phased fields. The Gallente getting a new jump route it not much of one as Amarr auto gains 3 new connections and Caldari gained 1 on day one of the expansion. It’s important to note that that 1 jump connection makes the route from Dodi to Intaki not go through neutral space where Caldari can camp players (and should be a day one gate connection anyways imo).
That’s happening regardless, all the Caldari campaign determines is whether they’re sold by Caldari or Gallente LP stores. Meanwhile the Gallente campaign determines whether the new drones are available in Gallente highsec, or whether they’ll be sold in the same LP store as the ORE strip miners, which would mean a drastic difference in value.
Yes, but the Caldari players will want to have access over the Gallente ones, which matters to Empire players. I would rather the Gallente lose their main campaign but make the Caldari lose too than for both to succeed personally.
Cleaning up the caldari and gallente hybrid faction ammo was a pleasant suprise. Gonna take a while for people to realise they are supposed to buy federation hybrid charges going forward. But it is a nice touch and essential for long term sake. Lots of other good stuff to. But the attempts to fix seagulling and awoxing will likely not go as intended. But lets see.
I understand that “New Hacking Sites” refers to the Bulwark systems of the opposing faction.
If I infiltrate the Caldari Bulwark systems while still a member of the Gallente will I be pursued by faction police since it’s highsec?
Is this a typo? Kassigainen and Pakhshi are already only separated by Synchelle; adding a new stargate pair to remove one jump along this route feels very odd. If it’s not a typo, am I missing something, and there’s some other relevant value added by creating this connection?
For the people who built up Syndicate standings I’m sure it sucks. Are those standings going to shift? It doesn’t say this, but I’d assume. But we are dealing with CCP here.
When others fail they still get something. When the Matari fail they just get humiliation. As a non-miner I could personally care less about phased fields. What does that do? Make Lo/NullSec mining obsolete in the Republic? No modules or anything new in the LP stores, no gates, nothing else. Okay, Arzad and Ezzara are in Republic space. So what? Other than storyline fluff, what practical purpose does this serve? I’m genuinely curious because I don’t get it compared to what others get.
Can you explain the relevance of a quicker route to Intaki?
Why do Gallente have the opportunity for additional bonuses thru Caldari failure?
I get the initial impression that this is an attempt to take the wind out of Jita. We’ll see.
Something funny I just thought about. Goons help Trigs take an entire solar system. No invasion of Goon space. Goons can freely go to and from Caldari space, dock at any stations, use clones, the market, own stations, etc. Syndicate superficially damage some gates to Jita and they want to totally wipe them out. Hilarious.
I was under that impression as well at least for some systems because I never saw Amo get corrupted. But Mehatoor is regularly under corruption because it’s on the Jita-Amarr silkroad pipe in Devoid, that is completely unavoidable if you want to go via high sec between the empires.
Or rather potentially used to be when Amarr gets the Mehatoor-Akes gate. Now the gankers and Insurgencists will only have that one system to camp.
What I find intriguing is that Devoid will be split in two unconnected halfs if Minmatar gets the Arzad system.
