Just to echo what someone else said earlier about the EVE Uni wiki pages - definitely my go-to for just about anything EVE-related.

Keep up the great work!

If you’re really wanting to get to know what the game is about, you need to join a corp. If you’re looking for a friendly place with knowledgeable people, along with fellow new players to learn the game together, then E-Uni should be that corp.

Should give e-uni a try because there are nutters like me who at times organise a fleet of 20+ noobships to go out on a roam and then at the very end somehow land on a pos because killing a random cyno seemed like a good idea at the time

Yeah, I rejoined EVE online during Christmas break. As a capsuleer since 2004, I keep trying the independent miner/industrialist/explorer route but I think that is no longer a viable option these days. I actually applied a week or so ago but withdrew my application when I realized you were not really in Minmatar Space (my usual stomping grounds). Since then, I have learned about CODErs the hard way- Simply for the ‘sin’ of not paying a 10 million ISK ransom (and after reading their ‘CODE’ that is basically the equivalent of the schoolyard bullies that demand your lunch money and STILL reserve the right to throw you in a dumpster) I have lost two Hulks and been podkilled. That last bit I think was because I called them asshats, but … they are. Small, childish thugs who most likely are picked on at school and think suicide ganking makes them kewl. At 58, I simply cannot be bothered with this. However, I still love this game and realize that if I am to remain I need to learn the new rules (and yes, I have seen the ‘8 basic rules’ posts), I need to go be with a corp that actually DOES teach EVE. In a way, even though I have nearly 100 million SP, I feel I am in many ways once again a noob in an EVE that is increasingly hostile to the older high-sec CAREBEAR that I am.
SO, please send me an EVE-Mail and let’s reset up that interview, as I obviously cannot be let out on the space schoolyard without a thicker skin and updated survival skills… you already have my earlier application, API and (silly me) optimistic decline memo. We can discuss where the appropriate campus location is for me to move my stuff… might take a while but clearly my current location is not going to work.
Take Care and I will look forward to your contact in Eve.
PS I will also reply to my prior EVE-Mail contact to essentially say the same thing.
