Ganking cancer

Seriously, this is insufferable. Recently I returned to play Eve after very long period of time. Entered into abyss couple of times and guess what.. hello, 5 courcerers on my safespot. Well, since I had some experience and money, I could suffer 2kkk ship loss, you know, Eve is eve, i just moved to Wormhole space.
Its not a secret, there are tools to operate multiple characters simultaneously (multiboxing). And I don’t see any problem with this or with hisec ganking, both are legit game mechanics, just this kind of gameplay. If someone wants to multibox 5 accounts and get his profit from killing high value ships in high sec, its his choise. Toxic, yeah, but totally into Eve’s philosophy - never feel safe.

But…

Those are just a few from many. And those are just gilas. And those were killed just for toxic fun. There are hundreds of ships every day destroyed by our old fellas - couple of destroyers piloted by one toxic dude.
Now, I somehow can understand ganking for profit. But again, open ANY kill of gila or thunderchild from 0.5/0.6 system - and you will meet our fellow friend - The Guy With 5 Coercerers.
And I haven’t talk about miners and lvl 4 mission runners, or about haulers.

Whole high sec is full of those ganking dudes.

So, as I have said, this kind of gameplay, though being toxic, is reasonable and legit.
But the punishment for such gameplay is misirable. It is totally unexceptable, that this Guy With 5 Coercerers/ 5 Tornadoes can get away spending 30kk isk for his sec status back. CCP, you have to eliminate this whole thing with buying security status.
I imaging being this noob buying gila or miner, spending their last isks on a ship, fitting it with T2 or even meta 4, just to be killed for fun in high sec. I’m pretty sure, that many newcomers ragequit after such encounter.
Again, ganking is nice mechanics, but the stakes for gankers HAVE to be higher, now its 30kk both for destroyer loss + sec status buy. Please, ELIMINATE BUYING SECURITY STATUS, this would help alot. Let gankers get their status back only by eliminating bots.

When are people going to realise that uninstalling the game will improve their lives?

Thats an easy solution.
But it does not improve the gameplay for those decided to stay.
As I mentioned, I just moved to wh space to do abysses, but what about noobs? those that don’t have 2 characters to scout and act?
Don’t you personally want newcomers to stay and develop instead of ragequit?

If you decided to play you must be happy with how things are?

When are people going to realise he’s correct about being able to simply buy back sec status?

It should never have been an option.

its not about me, as i told, i’m totally fine anyway, i will find a way to safely get my isks.

Not being able to buy sec status will not change the fact you can get ganked. So you still have to treat high sec like low sec. Either do that or uninstall the game?

If you have to slowly get your sec status by killing bots on all your accounts (in low or null space), will you think twice about ganking some alpha noob in retriever?

Alpha cant use retrievers but arent you talking about ganking people running abyssals? For their loot?

If only you could open the links that I provided…
What loot did they get from those kills?

You want to ruin other PVEr’s source of income to satisfy your source of income? Tags are provided through PVE not PVP.

Lowsec Miners are one of those selling this tags and making profits out of it.

Ganking Derangement Sydrome limits ones view on new eden’s ecosystem.

You know you can do Abyssals almost anywhere right?

I’ve been doing them in a 0.7 system. Very few people are coming after an Onyx there and if they do, it’s not an expensive proposition.

Find a quaet system in a quiet constellation then make a safe spot at least 14.7 AU from anything else and you’re sorted.

If you dont even like people ganking for fun you should probably uninstall the game

Its just a suggestion

There is a reason one of the first things told to newbies always is “do noy fly what you cannot afford to lose”.

That lesson is true everywhere in EVE. HS and elsewhere.

New players who make this mistake and ragequit after would not last long in EVE anyway. People who learn and adapt can thrive in this game.

Ganking Cancer sounds like a charity event tbf.

We’re not standing up to it anymore, we’re ganking it.

My source of income did not suffer. But don’t you think that kind of behavior should be punished? What is this punishment now, 30kk? Isn’t it laughable?

when you are gonna realize you will improve eve by not playing ?
