Personally, I trained a number of skills on my main that I later realised are dumb. Large Hybrids. Capital Shield booster. If HAC were still meta, any ship skill larger than a cruiser.
Now I have to look at them and be reminded not only was time wasted on the skill book, the skill points, but extracting those wasted points also.
