How Not to Be Prey, Bittervet Philosophy

Nah. That’s boring. I took a Marauder from Amarr space to Gallente while war deced last week. No scouting or scanning. High Sec is mostly safe. You almost have to go out of your way to become prey.

You make it sound like it’s hard to get ganked?

It is. I sat there and mined right next to you.

If it’s hard to get ganked, is it hard to gank?

You tell me.

I’m AFKing at my own risks or Am I a bot? .

That’s an odd way to spell Frostpacker. Also instead of “character” a more appropriate classification would be NPC (miner).

I have told you.

Actions speak louder than drunken ramblings.

Check out my actions:

Do you have any actions?

Yes. I mined right next to you. You did nothing because you lacked the firepower to take on my mining ship.

Sure, a Venture would have been more in your weight class than a fully tanked Skiff. I’d pretty much have to undock in one after sending you advance notice of where i was going to be. Id then have to go afk to make it even easier.

High Sec is not dangerous. It hasnt been dangerous in a long time. All you are is the leader of a has-been High Sec ganking corp that barks loudly on the forums. The slightest effort in avoiding you reveals how non-threatening you really are.

Ok, but did you gank anything?

We know mining is easy, that’s for noobs.

You said it is hard to get ganked in Highsec, and you did not disagree when I suggested this means it is hard to gank in Highsec - so we are now testing the theory, what have you ganked and did you find it easy or hard?

Nobody cares if you mined Veldspar in an 0.9.

Why would I gank miners in high sec? Only losers do that.

Oh no, please don’t violate the EULA at me.

I am just asking if you are capable of ganking.

Yes or no?

The gank starts when you find precisely 1 million of a mineral 22 jumps away and buy it, the forces of moronitude begin to amass, choke points start getting fleshed out with eager beavers and then you set off on your merry way, it’s 2 minutes 30 before you can use the interdiction nullifier again, cloaking is pointless because they know which gates you’re using.

You wade into the system, there were a few in local on your way but nothing on DScan, you pick up the goods and flip your waypoints, the journey back to the Devil’s Freeway is 22 jumps. Off you go.

Suddenly, the list of names in local has doubled and there’s a bubble up, you know you can nullify once, but twice? No.

You land at the gate, it’s a system you’ve never been to, so no bookmarks here. They’re all there, bubbled up, Larges and Mediums, no smalls.

You drop out 12 km from the gate and burn through the crowd, you made it! No need to null, they didn’t even cover the other side of the gate. Arrogant? Inept? It doesn’t matter. You capitalise.

6 gas giants, and dozens of moons, go for an odd numbered one and warp to 100km. Open the map, is the gate witin 14.7AU? No? Get there then.

You can see them, but they’re banking on you coming gste to gate, not sideways from that Fortizar you hopped to after the moon. You’re through! But they have the other side covered this time, the smart party is in power. No worry, you can nullify!

The Ares is angry, you know he is because he follows you, gate to gate, system to system, stopping is suicide, even if there’s a third camp, it matters not because if you dawdle the Ares gets you anyway so you might as well risk it for a biscuit.

He’s still on you, 14 jumps in, you’re starting to see familiar system names now, you’re almost home, and the Ares is falling back, losing a little bit more each time, he starts off in the system when you get there but now you’re warped half way across before you see his name. He knows it’s over and so do you.

You made it, this time.

The mineral is now in abundance everywhere, it was a wasted journey.

What a delightful story.

What’s the meaning of this? Your sec status are now disappointing.

Capable? Yes. I’ve played a lot of PvP games in my time. PvP is fun, but tag teaming on a mining barge is nothing but a numbers game vs a Concord timer. The only other thing you need is a bumper that remains neutral so that the defender can’t attack it. This game gives 100% immunity to the bumper. So yeah. Stupid easy. Disposable ships with over heated guns to take on a single mining ship.

I’ve done more complex PvP on a text game. That was a game of fast typing, macros, and reflexes. Sending in the bumper to bump a slow moving ship while each person warps in and presses F1? You call that elite? This is why people make fun of you.

I’m not the ganking type but sometimes its tempting because their neutral in my overview. I’m not expert at Ganking so I may use a Talos for it someday. Not for profit nor becoming a fulltime at ganking but because I’m the Crazy type.

It’s just not worth it. Why would I lose a ship just to blow up a mining barge? It’s stupid
