I loved it because i was able to do it back then. Young and everything you know. We also always discussed it in the corp and the guys were likeminded and discussed what to put in the next morning before going to work and such.
So yeah…it only went on for a small period of time anyway and you fastly adapted to it. Either all your skills were short or long enough after a while to not hit the night. It sorted itself at some point. An achievement in itself.
You could as well just not train anything and sleep instead. Or you could just put in another skill during the day and change it for the night.
It was your thing to decide and find a strategy. And that is what i like. I don’t see why you are only seeing a bad or masochistic side.
You’re missing the point. You HAD to train the learning skills or you put yourself at a significant disadvantage. That wasn’t choice, that was something everyone knew you HAD to do and it was unnecessary tedium and time wasted instead of actually training skills that let you play the game (i.e. flying spaceships). It added around an extra month of time before you could actually do much in the game and there were a LOT of new folks questioning the wisdom of training before you could train.
As to the alarm clock thing I guess your idea of “choice” and “strategy” and mine are vastly different.
I think it would be cool if there was a skill called Clone Stabilization Techniques, and without it trained there is a 1% chance of your character autobiomassing whenever you clone jump. If you train it to level V, then your chance drops to 0%. This would add some interesting gameplay options where you have to decide do you train Clone Stabilization instead of mining skills, or do you roll the dice?
I see null-sec having an instant objection…
Earn what exactly? The right to NOT have info or spam plastered on our profiles? Please.
I think you missed the conversation; I simply commented that if your decoration score is zero you haven’t earned anything yet.
No Sir, I don’t think so. I read the entire thread up to that point. I even re-read the entire thing. Turns out I missed nothing. The misunderstand might be related to me failing Mind Reading 101 in college, or maybe the response needed to be clearer. Either way it has now been clarified. Thank you Sir.
Kind of odd to just plop this number on the character info window with no context. Achievements themselves are one thing: they’re opt-in since you have to activate one at a time. But the number just sits there exacerbating the portrait deformation issue and not helping anyone. Barely even qualifies as free Intel.
Corp decorations have a privacy feature. Players should be able to use that same functionality to make their achievement score private. The code to toggle information in the character window is already in the game. Just add it to the useless number under my name.
