If CCP Hired me for their next expansion

I don’t regret using ChatGPT to refine ideas that originate with my own creative spirit. I think its more important to be open and honest rather than deny. Yes I used AI to help me with my thinking. In this regard we are great friends.

but what I really after is to restore some spirit of creativity to everyone.

ps i think the ideas of having a locked away space that has the risk of spilling over to the game world is interesting. I also think using the mechanic to accelerate game play in a way that doesnt harm the existing paradigm is like the Abyss on steroids.

Some of that actually matches with what I would push in “my own” EVE Overhaul as well :).

Not everything, but worth a like nonetheless ^^

Sorry dude but no. Having an AI toss a bunch of vague meaningless buzzwords together based on a few words typed into chatgpt isn’t an example of creativity, nor has it ‘refined’ anything. It’s basically meaningless gabble hyped to look ‘cool’, and we already get far too much of that from CCP.

Actual creativity comes from understanding the game, how it works, how players interact with it, and devising new systems in detail that enhance, extend or create new gameplay options.

Real creativity is work. All you’ve done here is posted a heavily bolded wall of content-free buzzwords that in actuality, only say “EVE needs some new spaces and new things to do, rather than tweaking or adjusting the same old things we already have”.

Little tip for you: CCP already did it. First with WH space, then with Abyssals and Pochven. They sort-of took a stab at it with the original Resource Wars concept but that failed because apparently they lost interest in it halfway through.

So your idea isn’t even that original, it’s not creative, it’s ruined by making it a pocket dimension. Try using your own brain and knowledge next time rather than pretending you come up with something an AI vomited forth for you with next to no effort.

In general, I try to be supportive of people’s suggestions according to the amount of effort and enthusiasm they put into it. You got minimal support because it was clear you put in minimal effort.

But as for the whole “I’m just letting AI refine my original creative spirit” notion… bullsh1t. Lazy useless drivel is still lazy useless drivel, no matter how much lipstick you try to slap on that pig.

  • Ganking penalty reduction: Security status losses for illegal kills in highsec are now reduced by 75%.

my favorites lol lol

Wouldnt happen as nullbears would complain and ccp as allways will bend over and take it like the champs they are and do nulls bidding

I’m far too busy on another project right now…

Demonstrably false

Null Sec has so many empty systems that some of it could be re-purposed.

Unfortunately CCP doesn’t realize why these systems are empty.

Hint: Citadel Mechanics and Power Projection.

Would like to see The Thukker Tribe right before The Amarr Empire showed up.

Some missions where we can help Minmatar .

wow - what’s the context?

I get where you’re coming from, but you’re missing the bigger picture. AI isn’t replacing creativity—it’s a tool that amplifies it. Dismissing an idea simply because AI was involved is like saying digital art isn’t real art because it uses Photoshop. Creativity has always been about iteration, refinement, and exploration.

The real issue isn’t whether AI played a role; it’s whether the idea itself has merit. If we’re discussing new spaces and gameplay options in EVE Online, then the fact remains: innovation in this game has always come from expanding beyond the same core mechanics. WH space, Abyssals, and Pochven? Exactly. Each of those introduced something beyond the typical sandbox.

Pocket dimensions? You can debate the execution, but the concept of alternative space—whether instanced or integrated—isn’t inherently bad. It depends on how it’s implemented.

And as for the argument that CCP has “already done it”—come on. That’s like saying we shouldn’t have added wormholes because we already had nullsec. EVE evolves when new mechanics provide fresh challenges. The question isn’t whether new space should exist, but how it should function to create compelling gameplay.

Finally, let’s be real: dismissing an idea based on how it was drafted rather than what it suggests is just gatekeeping. AI-generated ideas can be refined, just like any brainstorming session. The key is whether they bring something new to the table.

So, no, this isn’t “lazy drivel.” It’s just another angle on something worth discussing. If you want to critique, aim for what was proposed, not how it was written.

It looks like you’re as lazy with your reading comprehension as you are with your ‘creativity’ and your work ethic. I didn’t dismiss your idea because an AI was involved. I didn’t even dismiss it. I gave it a very weak ‘Sounds interesting’ and then pointed out that both your presentation and the concept were flawed. It had nothing to do with AI - it was because of things like pulling “Cloud-Optimized Warfare for smooth and scalable fleet engagements” out of thin air, or using meaningles puff-phrases like “What you conquer you must defend”.

Used properly, it might be able to. “Please flesh out my two-sentence concept with a bunch of buzzwords so it looks better”… isn’t that use.

Yes, it is inherently bad. I already pointed that out. If you could get the AI to explain things for you, you might’ve noticed. It’s bad because people invest their game time in EVE to build their ‘presence’ in EVE. Their wealth, their corp, their territory. Creating a pocket dimension is absolutely useless for that, and thus would be ignored by all but a very bored few. On their alts.

Compelling gameplay absolutely needs to occur in existing space. Creating a separate mini-game effectively outside of EVE is just a cop-out for an actual lack of creativity. EVE has tons of underused existing space. While new space is an option, it should be used to enhance and expand activities in existing space, not replace it with a one-way exit.

Yeah, it really is. You used AI to blow a 2-sentence concept with few actual details into a vague and meaningless babble filled with hype and jargon. The problem isn’t that you ‘used AI’. The problem is that it’s advertising style hype effectively divorced from the reality of the game.

Sure, it’s great to have an idea for adding something cool to the game. It’s nice to take the time to post it so other people can react if they choose to. For that, you got a mild thumbs-up.

The idea got the criticism because it has massive gaping holes and pie-in-the-sky wishful thinking. Your presentation (“hire me and I’ll do this”) got criticisms because it was clear you’d put no real effort into it, and CCP already has a bunch of guys talking up their cool new ideas while putting too little effort into actually implementing them.

And the AI usage got criticism, not because you used AI, but because you used it to skip past all the actual meaningful thought that might have turned the idea into something interesting, and just crank out a puffy description that looked good but meant little.

If you’re looking to get hired mate, then show you’ve got something more on the ball than "My work skills are ‘typing things into chatgpt’, and ‘advanced copy paste’ ".

Forum posts follow an behavioral algorithm - fascinating.

They only managed 3.5% in today’s patch. Their AI must be a bit weaker than your AI.

That being said, if you ever wondered what happened to Breen, you got two pieces of concept art to look at.

Hired to do what though? That’s what I don’t get?

Game studios are laying off experienced and talented people who actually do stuff in droves and this guy thinks he’s getting a job smoking dope on a podcast like Elon Musk.

That’s pretty funny. You all take yourselves so seriously here. All ten of you.

Does Rekindle really want job? Inquring minds want to know.
