More basic to your OP as it sits, I would say that alienating outsiders from the generosity of a fleet commander does 2 things.
1: it disuades friendship and community building among the large fleets and privateers ( of whom may consider joining said fleets as a corp member)
2: it also keeps newer players from getting a leg up in wealth building, one of the hardest parts as a new player.
3: Helps create awareness to what features are out there, and the benefit of aspiring to achieve skills and vessels to do the same thing.
4*** it also keepa fleets from looking like evel pacmans out to gobble up resources and leave them none. a bit of benevolence to help them make a share goes a long way.
In harsher terms, a fleet commander loses profits when others are loading up at , say, an ice patch. So, helping them take more product away from his wallet, is really just a gesture of good will.. since he or she has been there once upon a time
The OP was meant as a joke. I wanted to see the responses I’d get. There were a lot of “nerf high sec mining!” threads because knowing that a miner is making 1 mil ISK an hour in high sec is apparently causing null bears to check themselves into the mental ward.
