Interdiction nullifier on a Buzzard

Im wondering if someone can help im looking to fit a Interdiction nullifier on a Buzzard and was wondering will i still be able to use my Cov Ops Cloak if i jump a gate i know i can use it during gate cloak but if i get into system and im bubbled before i decloak out of gate cloak can i Align using MWD then cloak then use the nullifier whilst cloaked before i warp?

Any clarification on this would be much appreciated thanks in advance and fly safe o7

Seems easy enough to test. Equip both, undock, cloak, and see if the nullifier activates.

If it does, you’re good. If it doesn’t, there will be an error.

But that’s warping into a bubble camp. If you jump into one, I’d rely on skill over the module to escape a bubble.

You’ve got a minute before you decloak to take stock and determine your best GTFO direction. If they’re close enough to force the decloak, the nullifier wouldn’t have helped anyway.

Pick the direction you’re leaving the bubble, preferably away from the campers. Start burning out, activating cloak then MWD. Once your MWD is active, turn 90 degrees from your original course in any direction away from the campers.

With a little practice, by time your your speed settles out you’re 10-15k from anything with no hope of them ever finding you. Can be practiced in highsec with a completely unarmed pursuit ship, because all they need to do to “catch” you is get a lock. You’re practicing getting 20km away from them without them catching you, not whether you can immediately warp away.

In general you cannot activate the nullifier while cloaked.

Gate cloak is an exception. Interdiction nullifiers are the only module I can think of that you can use while gate cloaked without dropping your gate cloak.

You can also activate modules like your microwarp drive or nullifier right after you turned on your cloak, if you are fast enough. Activating your nullifer at this time is an option, but not my preferred option if you’re flying a fast ship where you have plenty of time to warp.

The MWD cloak trick takes the length of one MWD cycle, which is 10 seconds. The T1 nullifier lasts 10 seconds. This means your ship will no longer be nullifed the moment it can warp if you activate the T1 nullifier before you do the MWD cloak trick. This is why I suggest using a T2 or meta nullifier instead when you use this trick, because those versions of the module last 15 or 12 seconds.

Talking about the MWD cloak trick: there is no reason to use your MWD at all if you are flying a ship with Covert Ops cloak. It is detrimental for your survival.

Regular cloaks don’t allow you to align and warp.

MWD cloak trick allows you to align while cloaked, which is nice.

Covert Ops cloaks are special cloaks that allow you to both align and warp all while cloaked.

You do not need the MWD cloak trick for a CovOps cloak! Your Buzzard can fit a CovOps cloak, so stop using that trick. It turns your 4 second align time into 10 seconds while massively increasing the signature of your ship, which makes it considerably easier for enemy players in that bubble to move to your location, decloak and catch you.

Now here is what I would do in your Buzzard:

  1. You jump a gate
  2. You see a bubble on the other side
  3. While gate cloaked you look at a safe destination to warp to
  4. While gate cloaked you turn on your interdiction nullifier
  5. Very soon after that you give the warp command to your destination
  6. Immediately after the warp command you lose your gate cloak: you want to turn on your CovOps cloak now
  7. Your ship is now aligning and bubble immune in warp to the destination and most likely safe

No MWD. You can fit it on your ship to move faster in other situations, but do not use it to warp out of a camped bubble. Instead just turn on the nullifier and cloak and warp out.

Also, since you’re new with the nullifier: keep in mind that your warp path is determined the moment you warp. If there is a bubble at the end you cannot turn on the nullifier halfway your warp to ignore the bubble: you are too late. To ignore bubbles at the end of your warp the nullifier has to be turned on while you enter warp.
