Why would anyone want to impersonate another player in a game at all…no reasons or matters whatever became of it. Thats just seems very strange to me.
Only a creep would think they could bypass our commutation channels to gain access to our wallets.
People recognize hotness.
i had one doing the same thing to me, scamming someone using my name while i was selling the ccp fridge
he got reported and the scammed person got his isk back and the scammer got banned
so…yeah, don’t impersonate
nope.
Just the idea of this thread is perplexing to me.
If you are a leader, why would you want other people using your name? Why would you immediately start off your relationship with potential candidates for your organization with deceit?
It’s perfectly normal to have recruitment officers. They don’t have to pretend to be the corp/organization leader to do the job.
Anyone looking at your group should immediately be wary just for the fact that you’re starting off with deceit. How can you possibly be trusted with anything after that?

Just because it’s an allowed, tolerated, celebated-by-some type of behavior does not mean everybody does it. And of course, if you do get caught, you won’t be trusted.
EVE is like the Wild West where the police authority means nothing and rules and regulations on proper player conduct have not been established yet. I don’t have a problem with this. I even think it’s healthy to a degree. Still, a liar is a liar, and always will be. A cheater is a cheater, always will be. They can do it in the game, perfectly legit. They can get away with it, fine. Some will even admire such people, let them. Doesn’t mean it’s something to aspire to.
I recently offered a friend of mine an investment opportunity. That’s kind of what I do. I look around in the game for opportunities to park money in, and if I think there’s a good chance of profitabiliy, I go in. A while back there was such an opportunity and I thought I’d offer a friend of mine a chance to profit as well. I told him he could do 1b, 3b, 10b. He went 10b in. Just transfered me 10b out of his own wallet. Just like that, with no collateral or anything. And I invested it, and a few months later his 10b had grown to 14b, which he took out. When in the beginning he told his friends he had given a ‘‘friend’’ 10b, his buddies told him he’ll never see that money again. Well he saw a bit more than that.
Not everybody plays this game on a premise of cheating the hell out of everybody that crosses his path in the game.

legality this days is already so blurred because we are now living in an Orwelian society.
