JITA chat filter ( proper use )

New players will get overwhelmed by the flood of spam in Jita. This will help cut it down.

  1. Click on the 3 dots to open the submenu in upper right in chat.
  2. Choose Configure Hidden Messages in the Channel Settings block.

  1. Check Use Channel Specific List
  2. select key words to trigger the incoming message not to be seen.
  3. Save

In the example above, I used skillpoint,PLEX,url=contract,url=hyperNet,eveonline.com

  • Any player talking about PLEX or skillpoints are automatically hidden, so you want to be careful about erasing everyone who uses the word “the” or you will see nothing much at all.
  • Next it filters players linking contracts and hypernet. You can also filter websites I used eveonline.com as an example here. I didn’t want to post an actual RMT site.

Once you filter, the spam and other garbage will be few and far between.
