Keeping PvE players in EVE

Be kind enough and share your magic way of generating plex in game, from thin air. If you don’t have one. Then there is no such thing as free game time.

Free gametime is awarded by CCP, to the PvE player, when the PvE player conducts a mission or mines a space rock. This is an inducement to encourage miners to engage in mundane grinding. However, miners abuse the system and use it to avoid paying CCP. They are trying to play for free. In order to prevent this, CCP has granted a license to PvPers, who are allowed to kill PvErs at any time, for any reason.

It is up, the PvP players, to ensure that CCP does not go bankrupt wasting limited financial resources upon a server filled with non-paying PvE ‘customers’.

They are entitled to use their time however they wish, doesn’t mean when some pest (and you know people are looking for salt), they have to be happy about it, sometimes venting is all you can do, we in the forum just don’t have to care.

Everyone does this, in all the time I’ve been in eve every SINGLE type demand nerfs so no one should be casting that around like they are pure.

You are a liar!

Anyone can think of anyone as they wish, you have your perspective and me my own, so if you label me a liar I am.

Gross. You disgust me.

I’m trying to figure out if it is possible to listen to pulsars/neutron stars with some kind of radio receiver.

Yikes, found something for this but I am totally unable to immediately figure it out http://www.bridgeportinstruments.com/

I demand to nerf this statement!

So you are right to a certain extent that the PLEX was paid for already. However the part you miss is that swaths of Bots and Krabs raise the price of PLEX quite a bit. This may be good for CCP financially (in the short term) as it encourages Whales to purchase more PLEX with real money. However, it’s bad for the game in the long term because it cuts the playerbase considerably. Eve offline says we’ve lost half our playerbase (even with the addition of alpha clones) over a period where the cost of gametime more than doubled.

What is the root cause? Low risk, High reward PvE.

That’s why there’s so many “bitter vets” (read: non-bots) on the forums shutting down every topic asking for more safety. More safety DOES NOT WORK. It will make CCP more money in the short term, so it is easy to convince them to make the game more safe. In the long term however, we end up with a stale game FULL of cheating/botting.

TLDR; Less botting/krabbing leads to lower plex prices leads to more active players. More active players lead to EVEN LESS (read: next to no) botting/krabbing (because they are PvP’d out of existence).
More players. More active players. More content. Better game.

That’s right! PvE costs money, and the more server resources CCP dedicates to AFK bot miners, the less game is available for everyone else. Kill the miners!

Ceterum, autem censeo fossoribus esse delendam.

Furthermore, the PvPers have given up even trying to reason with you all and instead just troll for the fun of it because they’re smart enough to realize that CCP actually KNOWS all of this and is intentionally CASHING EVE OUT.

EDIT: HKO 4 CSM

LOL. As if big alliances use thier pocket money.

Slap this to the Mittani’s face ( your boss) and to all leaders of big alliances. Don’t blame PVE players. Blame The Imperium, Test, Panfam and the others like them.

I absolutely will blame PvE players for creating the environment where botting is effective. It’s the PvE players who lobby for less difficulty and more safety, creating the menial grind that bots are perfectly suited to. And it’s the PvE players who lobby against anything that could possibly make their farming more difficult or dangerous, making it impossible for CCP to make any meaningful changes to discourage botting.

Blame those who started it. The big fat null alliances.

Why not everyone that does it?

I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy. Many, both PVE and PVP players have bots in thier pockets.
