2nd Anniversary Small Lottery Giveaway
★ Free giveaway / lottery
Entering the lottery is completely free and only requires completing the sign-up process to acquire a lottery ticket.
(Thus the lottery complies with the related rules of the EULA and CCP’s regulations regarding gambling in EVE. If you are in doubt regarding this feel free to ask EVE support for confirmation.)
★ Summary
To celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the foundation of the Kherub Angels corporation (founded on the 30th of April in 2017, EVE time) we will be holding a small (reward) lottery / giveaway event in which anyone is free to participate and can do so completely free of charge.
This is a giveaway but the number of giveaway rewards are limited so the winners will be randomly selected from those who enter the giveaway, meaning it is basically a lottery type event, but of course without any entry fee. Participation is completely free.
As the sign-up requires in-game actions (more than just sending an EVEmail) this is also to create a short, somewhat exciting in-game activity for those who wish to participate.
★ Who is it for?
Anyone who find the rewards worth the effort of signing-up for the lottery (thus primarily new players) and/or anyone who wants to partake in the excitement of a gambling event to see if they are lucky and win in the end.
★ Restrictions
- Only one lottery ticket will be granted per character (if successfully signed-up)
- To enter the giveaway sign up for a lottery ticket by opening the designated cargo container
★ How to sign-up
- Visit the Pozirblant solar system in the Sinq Laison region, warp to the Sun at zero km and open the designated audit log secure container using the provided password.
Deadline
The planned deadline for giveaway sign-ups is the 26th of April 2019, Friday, daily server maintenance downtime, 11:00 EVE time.
Information
By successfully opening the container using the provided password the character that opened it will be added to the audit logs of the container, thus successfully entering the lottery.
Note that if you open the container and successfully enter the password you will see the contents of the container (which will be empty btw unless someone puts something in it, in which case feel free to take whatever is inside if you need it) and thus seeing the contents of the container confirms that you have successfully entered the giveaway.
However if you type the password incorrectly then your access will be denied and you will not see the contents of the container, thus you should try again as only successful access will grant you a lottery ticket.
It is however enough to successfully open (and access) the container once and additional openings of the container even at (a) later date(s) will not grant you additional entries to the lottery, as each character will be granted one single lottery ticket, no more.

★ Why small lottery / why sign-up process?
The combination of small rewards and the sign-up process ensures that it is not worthwhile for someone to enter the giveaway several times, but is worth to enter once for the chance to win a reward that is not overshadowed by the time and effort it takes to complete the sign-up process a single time, while the minimal increase in chance to win combined with the small reward makes it unworthy to sign-up more than once.

According to current plans every winner will have the opportunity to choose:
- One (1x) primary reward (Gila BPC or Cynabal BPC or ship or ISK package)
- Three (3x) secondary rewards (skillbook and/or mobile depot and/or ammo package and/or abyssal filament)
- Four (4x) tertiary rewards (SKINs)
- Three (3x) quaternary rewards (apparel)
Multiples of the same reward can be chosen (multiples of the same SKIN for example) if several are still available and the winner wishes so. Of course in case someone doesn’t want to choose from one or even several of the reward categories then can freely skip those.

★ Drawing event
The winners will be drawn one by one randomly and added to the winner queue in the order they were drawn, thus the first winner will have the first choice which reward s/he wants to take then the next winner can choose one of the remaining rewards and so on.
The draw will be held around the date of the 2nd anniversary of the foundation of the Kherub Angels corporation, 30th of April, 2019 and the winners will be announced here and contacted in EVEmail afterwards.
The drawing event (in-game) according to current plans will be on the 28th of April 2019, Sunday, 19:00-20:00, EVE time.
The closing ceremony of the drawing event will be a short fireworks show (in Jita), performed by (me on my alt) Anne Pollard (@Anne_Pollard). 
For those who participate in the drawing event it is recommended to join the Kherub Angels public chat channel (“kherub angels” without quotes) for the duration of the drawing event.
★ Drawing process
A new temporary character will be created for the giveaway whose killboard will be the public, open and fully transparent display and record of the drawing process and its results, which will be uploaded to zkillboard.com as well. (Note that the character will be biomassed after the drawing process is complete.)
The giveaway character will be undocking from Jita 4-4, flying a corvette rookie ship, while having a suspect flag, thus will be killed swiftly by the local residents. In the ship’s cargo hold will be items representing each character that holds a lottery ticket (signed-up successfully) and each time the ship is destroyed those characters whose associated items are not destroyed will advanced to a higher rank in the ladder. In the end the character highest on the ladder will be the first to choose a reward, the second on the ladder will be the second to choose a reward and so on, thus aside of being a giveaway and lottery, the event will also be a sort of competition by elimination.
This way the ultimate judge of who will win and in what order, solely be the in-game Loot Fairy™ of EVE Online, eliminating any chance for cheating.
The items will be either single item stacks of minerals / ores / other and each lottery ticket holder will be assigned a different item OR the same item will be used but each lottery ticket holder will be represented by a different number of said item (e.g. an item stack of one piece of tritanium will represent character #1, an item stack of two pieces of tritanium will represent character #2 and so on), depending on which is more feasible to use (preferably the former for easier recognition and simplicity).
The giveaway character will only undock in corvette rookie ships so the killboard will not contain any other ship type, though it is possible the character might also get podded in the process so in such case capsule(s) may also appear on the killboard in which case obviously only the ship kills count in the drawing process.
Six players enter the giveaway, each is represented by a single digit and on the killboard each will be represented by a different mineral.

First killmail 3 5 6 survive while 1 2 4 gets (destroyed and thus) eliminated: 3 5 6 - 1 2 4
Second killmail 3 5 6 compete and 3 6 survive while 5 gets eliminated: 3 6 - 5 - 1 2 4
Third killmail 3 6 compete and both get eliminated thus no change: 3 6 - 5 - 1 2 4
Fourth killmail 3 6 compete and 6 gets eliminated: 3 - 6 - 5 - 1 2 4
Fifth killmail 1 2 4 compete and 1 gets eliminated: 3 - 6 - 5 - 2 4 - 1
Sixth killmail 2 4 compete and 2 gets eliminated: 3 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 2 - 1The (final) order of winners is: player #3 first, player #6 second and so on.
★ Bonus rewards
You can earn bonus rewards if you participate in the drawing process by shooting the (suspect) giveaway character. Only lottery ticket holders are eligible for such bonus rewards. The killmails will determine to whom bonus rewards will be granted. One or several bonus reward(s) will be awarded for each of the below listed accomplishments, where the bonus reward(s) might be different for each. The same character can earn several of the bonus rewards. In case of ties the bonus rewards will be split evenly. Only corvette killmails count (thus capsule killmails do not).
According to current plans the below achievements will be rewarded with the below listed rewards.
- Most times top damage dealt to giveaway character will be rewarded with 50 mil ISK plus +3x secondary and +3x tertiary rewards.
- Most times final blow dealt to giveaway character will be rewarded with 40 mil ISK plus +2x secondary and +2x tertiary rewards.
- Most times involved in killing the giveaway character (even if zero damage dealt) will be rewarded with 30 mil ISK plus +1x secondary and +1x tertiary reward.

★ Disclaimer and how to cancel participation
By signing-up for the giveaway with your character you agree your character’s name being mentioned in public regarding the giveaway.
If you’ve already signed-up but want to cancel your participation in the giveaway just send an EVEmail to Uriel the Flame (founder and CEO of the [KH.AN] Kherub Angels corporation) before the drawing occurs and express your desire to cancel your participation. Once canceled you can not undo this thus once opted-out you can not opt-in again. Once the drawing process has started you no longer have the option to cancel your participation.
★ Support
Anyone who wants to support the lottery can spread the word so more people become aware of it and can participate if they want to.
Also if anyone wants to offer rewards for the lottery can either let the organizer know what is being offered and once a winner requests one of the offered rewards the organizer will forward the winner’s name so the transaction can be done between them OR the rewards offered can also be directly donated to the reward pool in which case the organizer will handle the shipment of the reward(s). Either case contact Uriel the Flame (founder and CEO of the [KH.AN] Kherub Angels corporation) via in-game EVEmail to discuss the details.

Bonus reward winners

Insidious Sainthood achieved all the bonus rewards by dealing 4x final blows, 10x top damages and was 15x involved in killing the giveaway character, very well deserved, well played!

Atrocifist ofMujer arrived later and was only able to get 1x involvement but I’ve decided that despite he did not get most of either of the achievements I still grant him an additional bonus reward for his efforts, the same reward as for the most times involved achievement (separate from the bonus rewards awarded to Insidious Sainthood so the rewards are not shared, instead this is an additional duplicate of that specific reward).

After waiting almost three weeks on top of the time while contacting and contracting to the other winners the two remaining winners still haven’t replied so it is safe to assume they are inactive and will not respond in a long while… if ever.
