So the launcher decided to delete all stored accounts.
CCP, an idea.
Take devs off breaking the GUI (fx new info windows, new compare tool etc), and put them onto things that make the game less a headache to try play. Like fixing the launcher and bringing back coloured lag-free GUI that actually worked, API, IGB, CQ and making the game actually draw structures like jump gates and Keepstars when you approach them.
CCp love = Grief.
Do you notice when you load a grid, the structures orientation suddenly flicks around like it was spawned in upside down?
And it does it again.
Some symptoms:
Today had a failed patch.
Started launcher before server was ready. Had accounts.
Starting launcher failed (click icon, nothing launches).
Starting launcher, no accounts.
The same thing just happened to me after the launcher “update.” It’s not the first time; the same thing happened five years ago when I left. I came back, and now they’ve done it to me again. It’s a tradition of hurting players. Feel the pain, pilot.

I ran the recovery program, and it showed that a number of deleted Eva files were in good condition. I’ve now asked tech support, and if they say it’s possible, I’ll try to recover the files. Also, it seems to me that the user-related files haven’t been deleted yet. I found logs in the Eva folder inside the “User” APP Data (2 places), and they mention a number of errors, two of which are software-related. I found them through Google. If there’s a solution, I’ll post it here.

Copy this entire folderbefore updates. Contains all account tokens/settings.
Close launcher completely
Copy backed-up usercache folder back to %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve\launcher\
Launch EVE → All 22 accounts auto-populate
Pre-update ritual:

1. Copy usercache folder to desktop "EVE_Backup_[date]"
2. Update launcher
3. If wipe occurs → Restore from backup (30 seconds)

Delete: %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve\launcher\
Launcher auto-redownloads on next Steam/standalone run.
Your files are safe—accounts aren’t deleted, just cache wiped. Restore usercache and you’re back in 1 minute.
Do you know any other location the launcher folder would be in?
When I go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\ I have c_ccp_eve_tq_tranquility where my profiles are stored by no launcher folder in there and can’t find the launcher folder anywhere.
It’s an Electron app, what do you expect? It’s a miracle some things work.
