A week in to the Legion expansion The Initiative alliance leadership decided to allow us line members to dabble into the exploration sites and see if their value is worth it. Spoilers, It is very worth it.
Here’s what we know currently, The new “Detected” anomalies spawn within 5 jumps in every direction of the system where the Sovereignty upgrades are placed. These detected sites can range from level 1-4 sites where they have increased Salvage and Data loot. So if you’re fortunate enough to live in anything other than Serpentis space, You’re looking to make some good money from these sites.
Intact armor plate lovers aside, You are looking for Data/Relic escalations from FULLY completing these sites. ALL CANS MUST BE ATTEMPTED TO HAVE A CHANCE FOR AN ESCLATION. You are able to fail a can and still get an escalation. You CANNOT cherry pick these sites for escalations. From what we can tell escalations seem to be as common DED combat escalations (This is just a guess from what we are seeing)

Escalation sites look like, A weird Triglavian moshpot of old structures and ore.

Keep your eyes on the prize ladies and gentlemen, With the new Legion expansion come new modules and BPCs. You are looking for the Xarasier module BPCs. These are new Meta modules that can finally replace the old T1 Ancillaries. To construct they require Faction Materials from other NPC space and Basic minerals.
Xaraiser Large Ancillary Shield Booster BPC
These escalation sites also do have a shared T2 salvage loot pool from every npc space.
(Expect drops in prices for rigs?)
With the new expansion also brings new exploration related Wedge implants. This set gives good buffs to Virus Coherence Bonuses. This will make Data/Relic hunting far faster and potentially profitable for those who enjoy this content.
Disclaimer: The information we do have about the spawn rates and loot pools are not 100% and may vary from region to region.
