Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

God the amount of toxic posts and pure idiotic ones is beyond a joke.

Indy players should be taking advantage of the blackout, and going into areas where resources are you can’t normal get too.

Think like ninja miners, wormhole mining fleets, courier pilots, etc, etc.

All these different players know how to use DScan to their advantage, and how blackout local is a two edged sword. Remember if you can’t see them, chances are they can’t see you.

As for cyros, no-one will bring a fleet in if they have no target, and to get a target they have to scan down a target. And with large nullsec systems that’s not an easy job. The chances are your target will see you probes, before you can lock them down, and said target starts their escape.

People need to think about things like this, and talk to others that wormhole or ninja mine, learn from them.
If you’re so closed minded to learn and adapt to change, EVE WAS NEVER YOUR GAME, and its time you admit that and find something easier to play that have no change and development growth.

Dude, CCP won’t find many nerds willing to run already stupid “activities” in even more idiotic manner…

So yes, no work for the protection you get.

You keep saying it, and I keep agreeing.

I can see why you are comfortable with it.

Yeah same logic that ended SWG. Big sweeping changes with the get on board or get out mentality… If you think everyone should just adapt don’t be surprised when you’re one of the few logging on anymore. Especially when the devs just throw sh×t at the wall hoping it will stick.

its time you admit that and find something easier to play that have no change and development growth. Hehe You mean they should play games made by EA. I mean they lack in development and change.

But I agree with you the black out is good and should make people learn how to use the tools they already have at their disposal. I mean even if local don´t work eve map should still show activity in systems then as you said you have DScan and if people just take their time and learn the black out can rather be in their benefit.

my toughts… i remember a clan m8 in warhammer online he said this also to some guys enjoi just the warhammer Feeling and not doing pvp his way… the end is known… they got outa game and all others 2 duo member lack.

d-scan bot game really fun ? and cloak covertcyno cenper haha very fanny game:rofl::rofl::rofl:

The idiotic ones are those quitting without even trying.

It was human nature to test new things and to question things.

Sadly this trait seems to have been breed out of some players and hence when something new comes along they panic, yell blue murder, and quit.
Because they can’t think for themselves, they have to take the easy path, and unwilling to try the slightly hard path and use their brain.

Its a sad day when you realize the gamers of today can’t handle a challenge that does require massing a single key or simple click and point commands.

No I work for it , god are you that dense, I Mine and give the material to my corp , I salvage and recycle it for the corp, pay the taxes on ratting, hell I even pay for my Subscription and don’t plex for it, hmmm you seem to fail to understand I do my part for them despite your well troll have a nice day.

I play the way I wish , so you play the way you wish.

Ok, turn off the empire too! I suspect that you live in an empire and not in zeros was just a couple of days to make up your meager impression) Wrong thinking read the game mechanics!

Correct! Simply because game industry and players’ habits changed massively during last 20 years. It is not about play EVE or not to play at all. It is about play EVE or play something else that is easier to play.

Again no one is saying not to change things, but change needs to be calculated and have measurable goals preferably tested before implementation. It’s always easier in any business to retain current costumers then it is to win them back or bring back old ones. And not testing this or focusing on meaningful change drives the base away. I haven’t quit, but I understand why people would because the glaring flaw in the mechanics of a blackout is the covert option. There is no tool or method to counter it other than out escalating the perpetrator, which requires one base to be significantly more active than the other. This change only exacerbates an already glowing flaw in the game which is cloaky camping because it reduces all risk to almost zero and allows for players to AFK pvp by simply sitting in an active system and waiting. If they implemented a tool or module to counter that I would agree with you whole heartedly but they haven’t and as a result people are already exploiting this glowing weakness by making it the new meta

Changes need to happen you can be stuck in the passt and some change can be good other bad.

Sadly today gamer´s are so damn spoiled with games trying to hold there hand the entire game. A good fun game is one that challenge you at every end. A game that make you learn adapt improve and get better after one or several failures and when you make it you feel more satisfied that you finally manage to do what you fail to do before.

It´s high time people bloody started to learn to use other tools the game has.

But if it´s to hard for them and they give up with out even trying to learn well it´s their loss. Bloody hell if people want it easy why the hell even play eve?

Look at the flying simulators genre. Those games were in part very hard to learn and play but in 1990s and early 2000s there was quite a market for them. However later players became much more lazy and this genre simply died out about a decade ago.

at all not how the game works.
It is unplayable for live in nullspace

WOW again your ignorance is blistering, I mine in a Procurer actively not botting , I would never go AFK and let a Ganker sneak up on me I don’t run a greed fit ship I run a survival fit, but I guess you think every miner in EVE must be a Bot yes, I can tell you I am not .

Never even mentioned it.

Now I see what a sterling credit your procurer must be to the Umbrella.

Well its not that hard to say most EA games have the same gameplay style, and any moron can play them, good players get bored of them after a while as its so easy to rule over other players that there’s no longer any challenge for them.

How many have brought and played games only to stop playing them because there was no longer any challenge or enjoyment left in it. I know i have many that after a few months ive not played for that reason.
Only reason i play those games these days is if m8s are playing and i join them more for the social side of things.

Eve has been around longer than most games out there, why is that?
That’s what same need to think about. Ive seen many changes over its time, some good, other not so.
But the core community stays, player leave and return, due to real world things, bored or can’t handle a new change.

Many need to grow up, stop bitching about changes, learn to adapt or just take a break from eve. But for the love of god we don’t need to hear these leaving players bitch about it when they don’t even try and test the change.

And those still in game bitching shouldn’t, well not until they’ve tested it for at least a week, a few days isn’t proper testing of a new feature, its just a knee jurk reaction to change and nothing more.

I hope @CCP_Falcon and the mods ignore those negative posts and focus only feedback after a few more days when players have actually given this change a good run.

But as you and i know, we’ll continue to see these flamers, trolls and others as they seem to love to hear themselves over anyone else.
