I recently recovered enough access/context to start looking back at my old EVE history, and I’m trying to piece together what happened to M. Corp and the people around it.
I was part of M. Corp back in the old Curse Alliance era. I even still have some old material from around 2005, including M. Corp art with Chihiro on the side, made for the corp at the time.
What I remember is that M. Corp had a strong engineering/industrial backbone and a tight group of pilots. Names that still stand out to me are Jags, Velios, and others from that old Curse Alliance orbit.
My memory of the later period is that M. Corp suffered a major internal collapse after a director-level theft or asset disappearance. From my side of the story, Velios was associated with that break: wallets and hangars were emptied, assets vanished, and many members scattered afterwards. I’m stating that as my recollection from the time, not as a request for drama or a fresh witch-hunt twenty years later.
After that, as I remember it, some of the engineering group consolidated under Jags and continued travelling together, eventually ending up around UK Corp and later the Imperium sphere. I went my own way, spent time in wormhole space, later had my own corp theft experience, and eventually parked my character in a one-man corp before going inactive.
I’m posting this partly for nostalgia and partly because old EVE history is fragile. So much of it lived in Teamspeak, corp forums, killboards, and private channels that no longer exist.
