I tolerated running the same old boring anomalies, signatures, missions, ect. because I could position enemies well, clear rooms, and double jump effectively to the next acceleration gate in the cooldown time with my Marauders. The change made running the same old, stale content that I’ve been running for years more cumbersome and annoying enough today, that it may be the final nail in the coffin for me. Three minutes doesn’t seem like much until you’re there. Don’t get me started on SCC Security Sites.
As an avid marauder user (especially the paladin), I’m tired of the supreme subcapital platform (as it is supposed to be) getting the random bat every so often because either too many people or not enough can afford to fly a blinged out T2 Battleship–I’m never sure which. If this change sticks, I propose adding a 5th mid slot to the paladin so that it can fit both a mjd and mwd like many others often do, or build the mjd into the base hull of the class.
Doubt. I did run like 20 Missions today in a Pala. In about 3 of them you even can utilize multiple MJD jumps to really speed them up noticably. In the overwhelming majority of them it absolutely doesn’t matter or you only need 1 MJD jump anyway and the cooldown is irrelevant. Or you are better off to just bastion and scorch away smaller clumps of enemies at range.
More drama please, the overall “efficiency” of the Marauders in Missions dropped from 100% to like 98,8%. Still a lot better than the next best alternative, a Faction BS, in almost any case.
There’s more content than level 4 missions and ships other than marauders to run that content in.
But then I’ll never understand the people who complain that certain content is boring, but they continue to run that content. I may have a radical opinion here, but aren’t games supposed to alleviate boredom, not cause more of it?
I actually kinda find Marauder’s dull. Yea, they do a lot of damage and rip through mission content, but I find myself counting volleys instead of enjoying the content. That or waiting for the bastion timer to run out so I can move again.
I actually like running mission content, allbeit slower, in a faction BS, Ishtar or Eos. At least it is interesting.
Before the Bastion Era, we used to fit the Vargur with Nanofiber and X-Type MWD.
Vargur also had the Falloff Nerf, which other Marauders had not…
It’s faster with Bastion and good Falloff.
Vargur lost a lot of power with the Falloff Nerf, it needs 3X Guns computers to get that 15% Falloff range back, because of stacking penalties… and you need batteries for that MWD and reppers…
