I’m at 60 million sp and don’t know what to train.
About that bolded part…
Has anyone told you you get to keep the skills you train as Omega?
You do not need to buy all the required skills now on top of a subscription to fly an Omega ship well. You could also be subscribed for multiple months while training those skills.
I’ve progressed a whole lot from an ongoing subscription alone!
New pilots need a path to find their footing otherwise they might slip through the cracks and then even with Exordium won’t get them through

Side note that exercise has me almost completely finished my daily!
If you need advise or help I run missions all the time and will help you learn and progress.
I had the same experience 20 years ago.
PVE sucks.
OP is basically 3 skill issues in a trench coat.
“Run these sites/missions in a cruiser”
not really possible when the previous and current sites/missions do not pay enough to afford a cruiser.
If you can’t afford a cruiser then you’re doing something wrong. They’re really not that expensive…
High sec combat anomalies and Level 1 security missions do not pay enough to afford a 15 mil Cruiser, and thats not including the modules or fitting
You can earn over 100 PLEX this event. That’s not sufficient? I think you’re going out of your way to look for difficulties where none really exist here…
I suppose it is possible that a progression path used by thousands upon thousands of characters over the last 20+ years is actually “impossible”, but it seems a lot more likely that you are just playing poorly, making bad decisions, and not listening to advice.
I dont do the events, and in my opinion, players should not have to rely on limited-time events in order to play the game. The game itself should be enough and capable of giving enough ISK to the player to go further in the game.
If the game is designed in such a way that people need to do limited-time events just to make enough money to get by, i dont think thats good game design.
Though everyone here thinks its perfectly acceptable to have to grind 6 hours a day for 6 days in order to make back your ship cost, and only after those 6 days you actually start making a profit, so the negative feedback i am getting is understandable when considering how these people think.
Doubt it would take me longer than a few hours to have a brand new alpha char sitting in a cruiser. ![]()
No one is saying you must the the events, just that it’s easy to get the isk now, but even with out the event, it is easy to get the ISK for a cruiser. There are tons of ways to make ISK that didn’t exist before when missions were first introduced.
Level 1 security mission → Frigate/destroyer
Level 2 → Cruiser
Level 1 and even Level 2 do not pay enough to get the money to afford a Cruiser. would take days.
Same problem with the DED 3. Serpentis Hideaways and Refuges and other beginner pve content do not pay enough to afford a Cruiser to do the escalations.
Also, im not asking for advice on how to work around this.
I am posting here so the developers of eve online can read this and consider modifying the game so you can actually progress in the game doing just PvE, without having to do low sec faction warfare, wormhole gas mining, or high sec exploration, which is often cherry-picked and empty
I think that’s entirely too optimistic…
They’re not going to rebalance around incompetent play. Things generally need to be scaled in a way that assumes a capable player.
So being competent means grinding Level 1 security missions or Serpentis hideaways / refuges for 5-10 days in order to afford a Cruiser?
Being competent means being able to figure out how to make it take less time than that. ![]()
If it takes you 5-10 days of grinding to afford a ship that, to most players, is basically free, that’s very specifically a you problem.
