New Mechanic - Battleships "Frigate Escape Bay"

A change we didn’t know we needed, but will be interesting to test out on SiSi.

If an Astero can drop and be >2km away from the wreck and instantly cloak, that might be useful. Or if the frigate ejects at speed, like undocking from a station, that might be useful, etc.

Will wait to see if this has any good use, but in any case EVE used to have weird mechanics, so o7 for bringing something back that is unexpected.

Even with bubbles… Perhaps you will get an extra chance to save your Implants.

Can’t be scared all your life. If you are that worried about losing your implants, I guess you shouldn’t have undocked and got into a fight then…

Dude… Totally out of place…
By chance your intention was to distort what I said to the point where You could criticize me for something I didn’t say and didn’t mean to say…
I was just pointing it out… Wow…

It wasn’t directed at you. It was a simple statement of fact. Number one rule of EVE. Don’t undock with something you can’t afford to lose. That applies to implants as well as ships and fittings.

I like this part:

This change will shake up the Battleship meta of EVE Online

I mean, is there even a battleship meta?

Anyway dumb idea and worse it will be added to other ships.

Does anyone even use battleships for anything other than L4 PvE missions and Incursions?

Actually I use them quite often in PVP.

Golem vs The World !!!

I love this Musical .

Everyone except a total nub would do just that…

Now that I think of it, there is no way I would put a ship in that bay!

You know what will come next, XX seconds of immunity after the BS is blown up.

Watch, that will be part of it. You will be invulnerable for 30 seconds as long as you don’t move or issue any commands, just like undocking…

I guess the best use of it would be an assault frigate with assault damage control and an oversize prop mod and hope for the best…

Dock up, unload frigate, fly frigate. Used without blowing up ship. Pretty simple I would have…

Ah. Sorry.

At that point, your BS is being used as a glorified hauler for a frigate that isn’t even worth a quarter of the cost of the BS…

But I have my scanning frig and Ratting BS in the same system, one trip, and no need to bother corp mates

Not when the Frigate has stabs in the lows and a nice amount of shields and a decent AB cos then the pod getting stuck is dead implants whereas the “escape vessel” burns off laughing at the bubbles. But sure - DO NOT think about any of the possibilities and just complain about something you know nothing about as yet.

The only place I won’t put a ship in it is in highsec.

That’s because I’m retarded and liable to commit a criminal act that gets me CONCORDed. Then I’ll pop out in a frigate and get CONCORDed again.

So what? Honestly - so fkn what? If I choose to put ships in my Orca or a Freighter or a BS, so what? That will be up to me to do or not.

“I only carry things worth more than the ship I’m carrying them in” is a pretty dumb standpoint to try to argue from tbf.

Lol… your stabbed frigate has worse align time than a pod it gets into warp slower than a pod no matter what. The stabs don’t save you from the bubble so the bubble is laughing at you. Every day we run into stabbed frigates that think they are so smart for nerfing their ship by putting on stabs. I have about 300 warp stabs in my hangar not because I have ever bought one, but because they come from the wrecks of “creative” people like you whom say they know better. Funny enough my stack of stabs also is accompanied by a stack of salty hate mails from said stab fitters as well.
