My friend and I are looking for a place to fit in, as of this posting we’ve been playing for less than two days and are already not quite sure what to do with ourselves. Following an attempted adventure through a wormhole I lost my first ship (thankfully my friend was able to escape) and was a little demoralized as it didn’t seem that the game really prepared us for how to gauge what we were capable of doing vs. what we should definitely gear up for.
Hoping that finding a helpful, friendly, active corp will give us a resource for asking the questions we have and finding our way, while also giving us something to contribute towards to make our play time feel productive.
Currently we are leaning towards exploration as our major interest, but we have yet to really delve into any of the other options much. We’re working our way through the career path missions now, and have both completed Exploration, Military, and Advanced Military.
We are both in our 30’s, and we work from home so we have a good deal of time to devote to playing and meeting any possible commitments, though to be honest we’re not that interested in an overabundance of required meetings or events. Once a day would be about our limit, though we’re happy to participate in sporadic events and missions throughout the day as our availability permits.
A little about us:
I am based in Oregon, they are based in Utah.
I currently have 488k SP, they have 600k SP. So we’re very much still getting into the swing of things.
Both of us are currently piloting Thrashers, though we’re not averse to switching things up to suit what we end up focusing on. If it matters, both of us are Minmatar. We are generally both available from around 0700 PST to 2000 PST, though that depends on how work is that day.

Let me understand. You play during the day (whilst ‘working’ lol, I get it, self-employeed myself) then log off to do other stuff at 8pm (0700 to 2000 PST)? I run a small USTZ corp and I live in mountain time, but most of my actual game time is after 8pm.
You guys are really new, but If you want to do exploration I’d basically give you all the exploration ships you could lose and send you off into Sansha null-sec under the protection of our blue sovereignty and you can knock yourselves out. You can also join our alliance university in the university corp or my war-dec free corp and take advantage of all the resources for learning there.
Better yet re-make your characters with this link and get 1 million skillpoints right out of the gate regardless of where you go or who you join.
We like newbies and are willing to help you learn. We are mostly about having good folks to play the game together with.
