One Way to Balance High-Security Space šŸ—”

100% correct and reason why Faction War needs to be in Highsec aswell as lowsec though we need to be at the same level of risk as there currently is while inside our own factions controlled systems, simular to how it is safe for Nulsec who are protected by their own. The solo Capsuleer should feel something like that and still be in Highsec, That is balanced by their selection of when creating a pilot.

Or you could literally make actions have consequences and have high sec gankers get instantly locked and killed when they enter high sec. Actions actually having consequences that match the futuristic sci-fi tech that those actions are based in.

You ganked a noob? There go your priveleges to exist in hi sec. War decking is gone you have to actually go out in low and null for that now. Sorry guys. You can’t just subsist on killing noobs anymore.

NOOOOOOOO YOU CAN’T JUST TELL US WHO AND WHAT TO KILL WHERE WE HAVE TO KEEP GRIEFING NOOBS YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND!!!

Please explain how a consequence can come before an action.

You gank someone in high sec, you get killed and then as soon as you try to enter high sec again, you get locked up and killed. You can’t just keep popping into new ships and griefing as much as you like anymore. You actually get consequences for griefing noobs.

What’s the point of having a police force if they never actually prevent any crime?

Encourage people to leave high sec to experience the game. Stop encouraging and rewarding trolls that just grief noobs.

Again the default position is to invalidate every word someone says. Claiming lack of understanding. That is not actual debate, you do realize that.

It does have consequences. I now have 4 kill rights against my ganker alt. Some of Aiko’s crew probably have a lot more. What’s more its not like the people with the kill rights all live miles away…most live just one or two systems away. If I ganked 2 people a day, by the end of the month I’d go into systems where most of the people in Local had a kill right on me.

Again and again I have to point out that most noob Ventures are zapped by NPCs. A lot of noobs leave the safety of 1.0 and 0.9 systems and go to 0.6 and 0.5 systems where they simply can’t cope with the rats. Where’s the outcry against that ?

Isn’t new faction warfare basically a failure? They wanted to add a new aspect to the game and instead people just rolled in outside the faction system and started ganking? So instead of faction results taking priority, the priority is killboard.

So the consequence for destroying someones ship is to be destroyed twice?

Have I got that right?

Do they not have cops where you come from?

How do you know crime isnt being prevented? How would you measure that?

What ever turns thecycle of industry around quicker and really should be so fine tuned that communication is required to JIT the complete system in the faction war( ganking highsec addon).

The whole scarcity does have good reason to focus communication as a driver to supply to the demand.

Only produce what will be used in the faction wars comes to mind.

I was mining in my mining alt yesterday, alongside 4 Procurers that had 20 Hammerheads in space. Throw in the 2 in my Venture and that’s 22 drones and quite a few DPS. And yet people talk about poor defenceless miners. Mining fleets are the best form of anti ganking for miners…and don’t require any white knights showing up.

No, it’s to be killed repeatedly any time you try going into hisec. Or killed once then you live outside of hisec forever (or until you somehow improve your CONCORD rep without entering hisec).

Sounds like a terrible idea to me.

You realize it isn’t noobs who are dying right?

There’s no profit in killing noobs LOL.

How embarrassing for you that you don’t know what game you’ve chosen to play

Ganking isn’t griefing. Please learn to EVE kthx

How is a dude in a blinged out golem a noob? I mean besides being unable to watch local, d-scan or set corps to bad standings?

Ganking doesn’t happen in low. That was just blapping

Ofc it is. They are suggesting effectively picking folk at random and banning them from HS.

Why does the ganking community and its supporters dislike the idea of placing ā€œNPC-likeā€ bounties on criminals? These bounties should only apply while the -10 is in HS. Would it actually impact ganking?

2015? Can you find more recent data? Using graphs from 2015 is misleading. I’m not sure if that’s intentional on your part.

Where did we say we did, drac?

They used to exist but now they dont

Ask CCP why

I’ll take being called @Dracvlad as a compliment, but he’s not me. If you read the OP, you’ll see that it’s not the same as the defunct ā€œBounty Systemā€. I’m pretty sure he meant NPC bounties in the 1-5m range per criminal destroyed. CCP is trying to find a way to fix things and keep players in the game. Being rude to new players is probably not the way of the Jedi. Obviously, no criminal would be eligible to receive a bounty. Gankers would fit smart bombs and farm their own bounties if that we permissible.
