how could would it be, if the Odyseus was a ship that can siege into a form of station with force field, and attachments etc. Like a gypsy cart that circles up and becomes home for a night.
Obviously a ship that converts into a pos doesn’t make it invincible, just like any pos, it can be bashed.. But imagine an RV in space that you could fly in, siege, the forcefield pops out just like a pos, could spit out basic defense mods that would attach… go out do worm holing, return, un=anchor , cloak and migrate to the next … could even roll with friends in other Odys and circle up the wagons.
POSs are a great tool for temporary ops in WH space, but a nightmare to move around… my idea is simply, instead of trying to move a house around, make the Odys an RV
The current meta is cloaky orcas that can drop a pos… But this Odys idea circles around the mass entangler and the flexibility to be more mobile while day tripping in Jspace
More valuable stuff to shoot and kill or drop valuable loot is always welcome i guess. Just promise you don’t head to the forums with a whine thread after you have to complain that your temporary station always gets attacked the minute after it was anchored and you can’t go about your industry as planned or that you have to quit EVE because all that you had was in the Odysseus that just got blown up…

Alright. I go sit into my corner and play some EVE. Makes no sense to discuss deeper semantics here and i also missed a word in “after you would have to complain”. So my fault but should be obvious since the ship is not yet implemented the way you suggested.
No, thats not what you did, you came in here and sht’posted as if you had something negative happen to you in real life and decided this was the place to let it out. It is obvious that you didn’t get the meaning of my post. It was actually a “what if” scenario that should make you think why your suggestion is probably a bad idea. As described you would transport possibly a lot of value in your transportable station. Also as you described it, it would be required that anyone can take it out within a short time, like a day. Also you would possibly be the one and only present pilot, unable to defend once those things get the everyday takedown hobby of wormhole dwellers.
I wanted you to think about this, then expect the worst case scenario and your reaction and prevent that idea from being implemented to avoid you to need to experience bad emotions once the worst case scenario happens and gets established as the default scenario that happens within 10-20 minutes of anchoring a defenseless ship that can’t move.
