See “non-starter”, above. Not that I’d be opposed to the idea, but I just don’t see it happening for a variety of reasons…
Then CCP was mentioning (not seriously I think, as I have seen concern on their faces) player designed epic arcs, all I was thinking was mission descriptions, goals, sites, all done by players themselves.
It would be something grand, like for example the fitting editor, but It can be done.
You can design ship fittings, you can also build sites for it, all it needs is a tool.
CCP throws a lot of "it’s not something we’re opposed to"s out there, but in reality these are like unicorns: they don’t exist here anymore.
CCP think great ideas are big. But its the small ideas that are great. For example a T2 reactive armor hardener. They will never understand this tho. And its why the industry will leave them in the dust. But lets see.
Its an idea anyway, and its feasible. Their money, devs and time to work with, but they can treat it as another tool they would use internally mostly, like when they were designing SKINS first, then gave us the tool.
The small and simple ideas come together to form a game with depth. Thats the secret to success in video game industry. And i just gave it away You are welcome
I think you’re confusing games here…
It seems like the complicated ideas that have been tried have low approval rating. Either in the form of a public outcry or poor adoption. Maybe its time to try simple changes only or maybe not
The problem with most ideas is that they don’t have universal acceptance. Unless it’s something like automating PI, you receive as much opposition as support.
