Poem: Atonement

What violent delight, remonstrates with disdain;

The lambent cut staining, your pallid flesh between;

Ivory teeth tasting, encarmine gasp refrain;

Yearning for pleasure trust, loyal to serve dark Queen;

An Angel held aloft, to worship your design;

Redemption in recourse, toward the ache within;

I demand the steel bliss, devour my wound confine;

In scarlet redolence, bleed out my ancient sin;

Rivulet altar lain, intertwine together;

Bleeding the vein of you, caught in silken silence;

The black shard awaiting, as fingers bent quiver;

Quiet edge descending, lips parted beyond sense;

Awaiting taste of you, like the death on your lips;

Ravage the fertile soil, with the breath of your seed;

Arching towards the sky, tearing until mask rips;

Reveal the hidden sign, satiate sanguine creed;

Stone by stone you lay bare, with trembling artifice;

Invoking ritual, with blade of requiem;

Cutting without pretence, the false with sacrifice;

Upon that which decreed: Mors luit dolorem!

Cadenza to Atonement

Let the stain bleed,

Encrusted with the scab,

On steel,

Dry remnants of our deed,

A tryst and memory that—

Decays,

In the autumn, awaiting:

Spring,

Blooming in the loam,

With blood and bone,

Reaching out for light,

Heavens above, roots—

Feeding, where;

Buried,

Bodies still, stay silent.
