Pretty nice that Level 3 security missions can be done in tech 1 frigate, though its slow

I just started running Level 3 security missions, and i like how they can be done in a tech 1 frigate with 90 dps. But it is kind of slow.

A Cruiser might be better, but the missions only pay around 1 mil in ISK and Loyalty Points combined. Would be sacrificing profit for time.

By the way i am Alpha, so can not run Level 4 or 5 security missions.

And Destroyers are more fragile compared to Frigates, so can not use those.

Overall, pretty nice. Might use a Cruiser later.

Just died in a mission to 3 npc frigates that were webbing me, but apparently only one was, and the other two were just distractions…

atleast my ship is only worth like 500k + 600k fitting

Yeah, takes a long time to complete Level 3 missions in a T1 Frigate, especially for Alpha accounts… This Mission Level / Hull Class reference is just a basic guide… However if you use the suggested Hull Class per mission level, it’ll make it much easier to complete those missions, even if you’re not fully skilled in those ships…

Level 1 = Frigate / Destroyer
Level 2 = Cruiser
Level 3 = Battlecruiser
Level 4 = Battleship
Level 5 = Carrier

If memory serves me, this is the person who refuses to train skills that would increase the Isk they make and allow them to fly the correct ships

It is not ‘pretty nice’. It is a cool stunt to do something nobody intended. To do it repeatedly is just self flagellation.

they would pay alot more if you would train skills.

actually, destroyer is 2 and cruiser is 3 and so on and so forth from my expeirience

It really depends. Going with a slightly larger class is always preferable for faster completion times.

You can do level 4 in a T2 or Faction frigate.

true, and i prefer it, but they are meant for size corresponding with level, i will sometimes use my leshak on a level 3 just for fun

I think there’s a certain term for that… What is it again? Oh yeah… Masochism.

i use t1 cruisers, the leshak is a battleship so if you were thinking it was a t3c you were wrong

I posted a general guide which isn’t a hard fast rule…

Anyway, from Evelopedia:

Mission Level Primary Ship Alternate Ships
Level 1 Frigate, Destroyer Anything reasonably fast
Level 2 Cruiser Assault Frigate (AF), Destroyer, Battlecruiser (BC), Heavy Assault Ship (HAC)
Level 3 BC, HAC AF, Battleship (BS), Command ship (CS), Recon
Level 4 Marauder, BS, CS BC, HAC, Combat Recon
Level 5 Group of players with Marauders, Battleships, Command ships , Logistics ships -

Depending on skill, experience and preferences, several ship classes may be used on the same mission type. Bold ship is the default ship class for that level. In some missions, the bold ship also represents the maximum ship size allowed through the gate.

Also Uniwiki basically states the same thing:
