Probe spheres render as static on MacBook Pro (2019) — tried everything

Hi all, running into a graphics glitch on my 2019 MacBook Pro (macOS Tahoe): in the probe scanner, the probe spheres render as TV static instead of smooth translucent bubbles. Screenshot attached. The scan itself works fine — signal percentages read correctly — so it’s purely cosmetic, but unpleasant.

What I’ve tried (none fixed it):

- Shader Quality → Low

- Post Processing → Low

- Anti-Aliasing off

- Launcher → Verify Game Files

- In-game Clear All Cache Files

Is anyone else on Mac seeing this? The in-game bug reporter is offline right now so I couldn’t file it there.

Thanks!

Pretty!

Not sure what happened there, I’ve never seen it before.

Have you tried updating your graphics driver? Could fix some graphical glitches.

Otherwise you could try a fresh reinstall.

Update — solved, and it wasn’t what I expected.

The cause was my display resolution. At 1536x960 (exactly half this MacBook Pro’s native 3072x1920) the probe spheres render as static. At 2304x1440 and at the native 3072x1920 they render perfectly. I did a full reinstall along the way, which seemed to fix it only because the fresh install defaulted to native resolution — dropping back to 1536x960 brought the static straight back.

I’m now running 2304x1440 with UI scaling at 175%: spheres clean, text readable.

Thanks to Gerard Amatin for the suggestions. Leaving this here in case another Mac player hits it — check your resolution before you reinstall anything.
