Pyfa - The Python Fitting Assistant

You can create a custom character in the Character Editor. You just have to adjust each skill manually.

Tbh it’s the first time I hear about PyFa Character Import not working, what is the problem exactly?

Firstly can the PYFA thread be re-opened please - Pyfa - The Python Fitting Assistant - #474 by Syzygium

Secondly is there a way to select a character to be default rather than “All 5” which seems the be my current default?

In PYFA, what is the field for on the far right that says radius? it isnt sig radius, that is the middle one that says 350?

Thats the symbol for the rigs

Radius means the ‘physical size’ of the target object, but as far as I know it is not used in any of the damage calculations. Try very low vs extremely high values there and look if anything changes.

it changes eg the range at which you can hit it.
If a target is 0m wide and orbits you at 10km, then its angular speed is v/r (with same units of distance and in s)
if it is a 5 km wide(raidus) then its center is actually orbiting at 15 km .
If you are also 5km wide(radius) then its center is orbiting your center at 20km distance , meaning the angular speed is divided by 2.

So depending on how pyfa calculates the distance, it may or may not have an impact.
(the game uses the distance minus radiuses, as you can shoot a station even on the edge of its radius)

How does one enter a fit for a ship like the Tengu? In version 2.60.0, under the Name tab there is only listed “4 Subsystem Slots” and “3 Rig Slots”. There are no provisions for entering modules under High Slots, Med Slots, or Low Slots.

I’m pretty sure after you fit the various sub-systems, the module slots will then show.

The amount of high, medium and low module slots are based upon which sub-systems are fitted…

You switch to the “Market” tab and enter “Tengu” into the search line. It then shows the Tengu-Subsystems, of which you can chose 1 per class (Offensive, Defensive, Core, Propulsion). Once they are in the Subsystem Slots, the combination of Low/Med/High Slots appear and you can begin fitting the modules like on any other ship.

Having issues with the Astrahus in Pyfa:

any help available, or am i in the wrong place?

Maybe raise an issue on github?

Delete the fit, create a new one but don’t add fighters. You can simulate everything else, but fighters are currently bugged.

I hope the Chinese version can be built-in ,o7 :grinning:

Request: Is it possible to implement a “dark mode” for PyFa?

I haven’t been able to clarify - when a price gets a blue background, what’s that indicate?

If you have enabled the coloring-option, usually the medslot-items have a light-blue colored background… but I think thats not what you mean, right?

Sometimes it looks like a price tag is “selected”, I remember that, but thats pretty rare. I just checked around 50 fits and can’t find one with this appearance. Interesting question, I definitely remember having seen it before, but I also don’t know 100% what it means. I believe it has something to do with the price updates… maybe the item couldn’t be synchonized or the orders found are highly above/below average… Interesting question indeed. :stuck_out_tongue:

Do you have an example of an item price PyFa highlights for you?
