Question about corp and alliance ID

Can it be so corporation and alliance share the same ID or they’re always different and do not intersect? I’ve seen no intersections so far so I wonder if I can make some shortcuts in my software.

No, they’re separate entities so must be unique.

But if they’re spearate entities stored in a separate tables then corp and alliance probably can have identical ID.
