Hello,
Name is Jann Ari, and I am posting here in hopes to find a corporation to join. However keep in mind I’m gonna dump a lot of info in this thread so people can have a good idea of what I’m looking for and if I’d be a good fit for their group.
I created this character way back in 2008, when I first started playing the game. EVE was very different back then, but luckily I got picked up by an amazing group of people at the time named Dragon’s Rage academy which mentored me, along with others, into the basics of the game.
(Big shout out to my mentor Soviet, and all my fellow newbros from way back then, Dritts Underdark, Daya Na and 8preyer8, and another shout out to Kroolish and everyone from Dragon’s Rage). So my initial time in EVE was a great experience. Learning the game, doing missions, mining, etc in hisec and participating in the Droneland wars under Ehtereal Dawn, which was my initiation to nullsec. Played til around 2011 and had to quit due to work and lack of time.
I’ve been playing EVE on and off throughout the years, flew with a WH corp in 2014-2015 and then more recently in 2023, joining a wonderful corp named Space Ants where I flew again into nullsec with a great number of folks.
Now enough about my history. I have returned and I have over 47 million sp (not much I know lol). I am not super good at the game…every time I come back there always seems to be something new to learn and it can feel overwhelming playing solo and I am no good at pvp other than providing other people with content lol. If I remain solo I typically get bored and move on to other games, but this time around I’d like to stay and I’ve been watching a lot of guides to try and improve.
So here is what I enjoy doing:
- Ratting (thats my main thing in the game no matter where I am).
- Mission running
- Mining or supporting/protecting mining fleets
- I’m starting to delve a little more into exploration.
- Planetary interaction.
- I do have some alts but I’d rather not have to use them. Not unless I truly invest time into EVE.
What I’d like to avoid this time around:
- I’d rather not live in Nullsec again. I know a lot of people live there but honesty apart from the amazing ratting, life in nullsec gets dull for me. Like I mentioned, I am not a big fan of pvp, I’ll do it with a gang for fun, small fleet roams and such, but it’s not something I want to dump everything into and I sure don’t like the time dilated blob fights. The politics of nullsec also bore me, I understand a lot of people have a lot invested into the game, but being nothing more than a pawn on the board for an alliance leadership I don’t even know doesn’t hold much appeal to me, neither is being caught up in the bitterness and contempt others have for each other. That’s not my personal vibe. To each their own, New Eden is vast enough for all kinds of people.
- Like I mentioned PVP is not really my jam, so pirating is out of the question for me. Popping someone’s t1 frig because I’m bored isn’t really for me. I may make an exception for Factional Warfare as I’ve never done it, but I’d side with one of the empires.
What I am looking for/prefer:
- Small to medium sized Corporation, one that is social and not so numerous no one will remember who you are (so around or less than 80 members) with chill vibes and good times.
- Hi-sec or WH life. I’d be willing to give WH life another go seeing how different it might be.
- A corp that puts IRL first. I work full time Monday-Friday, in a relationship and have other obligations in other games/with friends.
- Will help me figure out how to do industrial stuff lol, I’d like to dive deeper in that part of the game
- Open to returning players looking to relearn or learn new aspects of the game (Ive never done FW, Homefronts, barely touched abyssals, or how to better play the game in general (aka I need a patient crowd)
- Prefer to play with people around my age range (30+)
- Active in US timezones (I’m from eastern Canada)
That’s all I can think of at the moment. Right now I am just roaming in hisec doing the career agent stuff and missions to keep busy in the meantime, I am in a corp currently but it is very inactive and just a placeholder for the previous nullsec corp I was in. I won’t join just any corporation on a whim, it’ll take a conversation to make sure I am the right fit for you, as I do not wish to be a bother for anyone. We’re all here to fly spaceships and have fun and that’s what I am all about.
