Should I buy a Tier 1 Freighter now or later? (Providence)

Were these types of ships cheaper in the past or are they a fair price as of this post? If they used to be cheaper what happened? I’ve taken a couple of years off this game to finish school, but now that I’m done, I’m back and ready to play again. So I’ve missed a LOT of EVE.
