Various of EVEs game mechanics are initially unintuitive, but as long as they behave consistently and with some logic you can learn them and get intuition for them.
I think exploration is a good example that can completely confuse new players but usually is very intuitive for experienced explorers.
We know that the results we get aren’t totally accurate and that we have to fine-tune our scans until we get an exact location.
I think it’s good that that isn’t the case then!
Some parts of the EVE UI are ‘lying’ and inaccurate by design though:
Scan results which aren’t 100%? Lying and inaccurate, train skills to improve accuracy.
Planetary industry material scans? Lying and inaccurate by design, train skills to improve accuracy.
But yea, EVE’s UI is sometimes pretty awful. The new character info window for one, and how laggy and unresponsive it all can be.
