These are great. Ive been pushing ship skins forvever. I do some ccp skins but most are trash, like a lot of them. Allow players to make the skins. I can think of 20 ways to incorporate it into game but it needs to happen

Do you actually do the 3D texture UVMap of the mesh ??

@Harley-1998_Davidson Not normally no.

Only two of the images contain custom UV Maps because the geometry didn’t come from in game assets (Cat ears on a domi and a shield on a Navitas). Normally I wouldn’t do custom geometry or UVs but I was testing a wavefront file format reader (.obj).

I do sometimes make custom decal and projection textures but they don’t require changes to UVs due to how ccp’s ship building engine works (which you might be referring to).

Should look into ways to make kill marks more prominent. Perhaps using varied colored or width “kill rings” or gold colored bows of ships at a certain number of ships destroyed. The current system is lackluster and doesn’t illustrate or promote EVE’s PvP core gameplay.

Don’t blame ccp when they released the first line of skins to “test interest” the player base decided to whale as hard as they could. It would have been dumb to let players make them when they could charge 30+ for them.

I can’t believe how good at this you are and the rate at which you are putting out more.
If CCP offered to hire you and buy all of your skins, would you say yes?
You are making me want ships I don’t need because of skins I can’t have… I didn’t know that was possible.

I have a tool that makes it quite easy to do, most of these are screen shots I’ve made while working on it.

It’s a recording of a Steam VR session where I was playing Doom on a Jita Hanger billboard, powered by a browser based eve graphics engine (javascript/webgl) and dos emulator (converted to javascript using emscripten) running on chrome in VR (using webXR). :3
