Solar System Index - tailored made solar systems

So far we have the Sov Index but what about a Solar System Index? The Solar System Index is a stand alone index that is based on the same mechanics of the Sov Index but us separate from the Sov Index.

The Sov Index allows for Strategic, Military and Industrial Index that is maintained by the interactions of the Capsuleers while in the system. The more activity the higher the index. The Solar System Index are bonuses given to the system when a system is not occupied by a Sov mechanic or has reduced Sov infrastructure.

Solar System Indexes come in three flavors and are linked to Sov Infrastructure Indexes in Null

Low and High Sec Systems

  1. System Infrastructure Hub - this hub is an overall system indicator of the level for the solar system index that has a value of six levels. Each level indicates a bonus to the other two Solar System Indexes where each level on the SIN equals a 2% bonus to the other two Solar System Indexes in Low Sec systems and a 1% bonus to the Solar System Indexes in High Sec.

The increments of the SSI Hub are increased by a factor of 5% based on the interactions taking place in the solar system that are recorded with the other two SSI Hubs.

  1. Exploration Infrastructure Hub - this hub is an indicator of how well the system is doing regarding Capsuleers running Combat Anomalies. Combat Sites (probed down sites), Data and Relic sites and Wormholes. The larger the index value of this hub grants bonuses to the above sites. The values for increasing the index of this hub and the SIN Hub are as follows:

Combat Anomaly Sites - for each combat anomaly that is completed adds .05% to the index of the hub. Sites that escalate add an additional .01% to the increase. When the index of this hub reaches level one the bounties and salvage from all NPC’s encountered in Combat Anomalies, Data / Relic sites is increased by 2%. Meta module drops increase by one level for every two levels of the EIH and the chance for a faction drop increases by 1% per index level.

Combat Sites - for each combat site that is completed adds .1% to the index of the hub. Sites that escalate add an additional .175% to the index of the hub. Escalation sites that are completed add a .2% index increase to the system index where the escalation site was completed. Escalation sites continue to increase the index in the system they are completed in by .0125% until the escalation is completed. Once an escalation chain has been completed the EIH index in the original system of escalation will increase by 50%. The drawback to running and completing escalation sites is that each time the final escalation site is completed in the chain the EIH of the final escalation site will suffer a 20% loss in overall EIH index level percentage.

Data / Relic sites - for each completed data or relic site that has a success rate of at least two hacking nodes successfully being hacked and looted the EIH index increases by 1%. If less than two nodes are successfully hacked the EIH index is reduced by 3%. For each index of the EIH the bonus to the Capsuleers Virus Strength Bonus increases by .5% (+3 or 3 x 5 = 15 points) and the Virus Coherence Bonus increases by .25% per index level (+2.25 level six index times System Security Status x 25 = bonus applied rounded up to the whole number. All systems are treated equal regardless of the positive or negative security status and are factored as a positive number. For example a Null Sec system that is -.4 would have the same bonus value as a .4 system. Therefore the Virus Coherence Bonus would be 2.25 x .4 = .9 or rounded up to 1 for a bonus of one to the Virus Coherence. A .1 system would be 2.25 x .1 = .225 x 25 = 5.625 or a bonus of 6 once the index has reached level six. For a .05 system the bonus would be 2.25 x .05 = .1125 x 25 (base for all .01 to .09 systems) = 2.8125 or Virus Coherence Bonus of 3 when the EIH has reached index level six. 0.0 systems receive a bonus of 1 Virus Coherence per index level of the EIH Hub.

Wormholes - Each wormhole that is probed down successfully in a system 25 times adds an increase to EIH hub of 1% or 25 x .02 = .5 or 1. No bonuses for probing down wormholes are given for the EIH.

  1. Reprocessing Infrastructure Hub - this hub is an indicator of how well the system is doing regarding the reprocessing of ore and ice chunks as well reprocessing the metal scarps from wrecks.

Ore reprocessing - for every 10,000,000 m3 of ore that is reprocessed in a station the RIH level index increases by .25%. In order for the index level to reach level one, 4 billion m3 of ore would need to be reprocessed at the RIH that only allows 500,000,000 m/3 of ore to be reprocessed in a weeks time or 2,976,190.476190476 m/3 ore to be reprocessed at the RIH every hour. Once the first index level has been reached a bonus to Concord’s Response Times is triggered with bonuses as follows:

1.00 - 7.00 = a + 3 second response bonus for a 10 second response time.
.90 - 6.99 = a +3 second response bonus for a 10 second response time.
.80 -.89 = a +1 second response bonus for a 7 to 12 second response time.
.70 - .79 = a +2 second response bonus for a 9 to 15 second response time.
.60 - .69 = a +2 second response bonus for a 13 to 19 second response time.
.50 - .59 = a +3 second response bonus for 15 to 21 second response time.

A bonus of 2% in selling reprocessed ore in the RIH is awarded to pilots who reprocess and then sell their ore in the station up to 10,000,000 m/3 of ore reprocessed per Capsuleer. A cap is placed on the sell bonus when the RIH reaches 50% max volume where the sell bonus then becomes only .25%

Ice Reprocessing - for every 100,000 m3 of ice that is reprocessed in the RIH station the level index increases by .15%. In order for the index level to reach level one, 1 billion m3 of ice would need to be reprocessed at the RIH that only allows 250,000,000 m/3 of ice to be reprocessed in a weeks time or 1,488,095.238095238 m/3 of ice to be reprocessed at the RIH every hour. Once the first index level has been reached a bonus to the damage of Sentry Guns is triggered with bonuses as follows:

1.00 - 7.00 = a + 3 bonus to Gate Sentry Gun damage for 10 seconds, station guns for five seconds
.90 - 6.99 = a +3 bonus to Gate Sentry Gun damage for 10 seconds, station guns for five seconds
.80 -.89 = a +2 bonus to Gate Sentry Gun damage for 11 seconds, station guns for seven seconds
.70 - .79 = a +2 bonus to Gate Sentry Gun damage for 12 seconds, station guns for eight seconds
.60 - .69 = a +2 bonus to Gate Sentry Gun damage for 12 seconds, station guns for nine seconds
.50 - .59 = a +5 bonus to Gate Sentry Gun damage 10 seconds, station guns for seven seconds.

A bonus of 3% bonus in selling compressed ice chunks in the RIH is awarded to pilots who sell compressed ice chunks in the station up to 1,000,000 m/3 of compressed ice per Capsuleer. A cap is placed on the sell bonus when the RIH reaches 50% max volume where the sell bonus then becomes only .25%

For Gate Sentry Suns in Low Sec the damage value is increased based on metal scraps being reprocessed.

Metal Scrap Reprocessing - for every 1,000,000 m3 of metal scraps that are reprocessed in the RIH station the level index increases by .10%. In order for the index level to reach level one, 100,000,000 m3 of metal scraps would need to be reprocessed at the RIH that only allows 100,000,000 m/3 of metal scraps to be reprocessed in a weeks time or 595,238.0952380952 m/3 of metal scraps to be reprocessed at the RIH every hour. Once the first index level has been reached a bonus to the damage and range of Sentry Guns is triggered with bonuses as follows:

1.00 - 7.00 = a + 2% in range plus damage bonus
.90 - 6.99 = a +2% in range plus damage bonus
.80 -.89 = a +3% in range plus damage bonus
.70 - .79 = a +3% in range plus damage bonus
.60 - .69 = a +5% in range plus damage bonus
.50 - .59 = a +6% in range plus damage bonus
.40 - .49 = a +7% in range plus damage bonus of 2% for gate guns for 5 secs and 3% for 5 secs for stations.
.30 - .39 = a +8% in range no damage bonus
.20 - .29 = a + 9% in range no damage bonus
.1 - .19 = a +10% in range no damage bonus

A bonus of 5% in selling Reinforced Metal Scraps at the RIH is awarded to pilots who sell Reinforced Metal Scraps in the station up to 50,000 m/3 of Reinforced Metal Scraps per Capsuleer. A cap is placed on the sell bonus when the RIH reaches 50% max volume where the sell bonus then becomes only .25%

Posting in the most elaborate covert anti-ganker thread ever devised…

The interactions between the Sov Infrastructure and Solar System Infrastructure will take a little bit of time to hammer out. But I will work on that once I return from a -1.0 Null run, somewhere to be determined.

Makes me wish I hadn’t read it, but spend my time in an asteroid belt or a data site instead. :previous_track_button:
