Bring back sp loss. but only when dieing to concord. non consensual pvp needs to be reevaluated. loss of ship to concord isnt a consequence like it was 20 years ago when the game was released.
Having another go at it, Jokas?
I answered you quite fully elsewhere but, in typical fashion, you ignore any reasonable counters to your arguments and plough on, regardless.
So, if I can summarise your view?
āGanking in Highsec should be nerfed.ā Hardly earth-shatteringly original, is it?
āOne way is to punish gankers by making their activities incur a SP lossā (in addition to the drop in security status, loss of ship/modules, cost of multiboxing Omega characters and, for regulars, being hounded by players, navies and the faction police).
āNon-consensual PvP needs to be re-evaluatedā, you say? The only way to change it is to make it āconsensual onlyā by default. If you do that, no potential target in Highsec will do other than click the āno PvPā button. Itās human nature. Ganking will disappear overnight.
Whether you realise/admit it or not, that is what you truly seek, Jokas.
To most real players, the loss of a ship in EVE is an inconvenience and not a catastrophe. Talk to any seasoned, mature, rational player about losing ships. Itās part of the game - no, as James 315 wrote, āit is the game!ā
Loss of SP would be quickly made up by most gankers. It would be a punishment with little deterrent effect.
You have again failed to advance a single convincing argument in favour of your point of view. Instead you wish simply to punish the naughty ganker (or rather, get someone else to do itā¦).
Ganking exists in Highsec by design. You may dislike it, but whilst it remains a feature of the game, your weakly thought-through and, frankly, hackneyed suggestions are likely to go the way of all the others.
It was a diverting read, though, so thanks for that!
āNon-consensual PvPā in EVE? Thatās like wanting to swim in the sea without getting wet.
Besides, what would I do with all those ships I got?
āCONCORD has imprisoned your clone for your wanton acts of aggression. You are required to mine 1,000,000 units of veldspar - in high-sec (in an Ibis) - before being able to switch out for another ship.ā
No such thing. You consent when you log in.
HTFU
No, I can log in and stay docked
You consent when you undock.
GITFR
Youāre still open to pvp from within a station.
Be it trading in the station or just being in local and the target of a simple scam.
Ooops youāre right!
I stand corrected, sir.

Noā¦ I am not a gankerā¦ When I am in an asteroid belt, moon, or whatever. Ganking is just part of the game. One of the things that sold me on the game was that any time I was undocked and aside from being on an NPC Station. That safety meant being smarter than the person wanting to blow up my ship.
You idea is never going to work. The reason, skill extractors. Have a alt that is training and extract SP. The loss is made up in moments. If losing a ship is catastrophic. Then you need to either fly a cheaper ship or find where you are spending Isk foolishly and stop.
