There is a new version of my first drone video from âSommarøyâ with some new text, font, color grading (gives more colors to the video) and a new song.
I wasnât 100% happy with my first version of the video, so i have now deleted it and uploaded my new version that i think is even better.
So far, i have done 41 flights with my DJI Mavic Air drone. And iâm also happy to say that i have had no issues what so ever with the drone, even in heavy Wi-Fi populated areas. I have also been e-mailing DJI where i have had good communications with them. So i have no idea on how peoples are managing to get so many problems with the drone and the app for the smartphone and no idea why someone claims DJI have the worst support ever (by reading the DJI forum).
Maybe those are just bad drone pilots and maybe they are expecting way to much from DJI?
I always double and tripple checks that everything is fine / ready before i put my drone in the air. So maybe thatâs one factor on why i never have any problems?
Anyways, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom was just announced. Those are some pretty dope drones, but they are quite expensive if you want that with the âFly More Kitâ package. So iâll think i will be fine with my Mavic Air for a long time .
So is anyone here gonna buy the DJI Mavic 2 Pro / Zoom drone?
I am the proud owner of a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom. It is incredibly stable though the laws in the United States are rapidly changing regarding drone regulations. Flying as a hobbyist is harder and harder so Iâve enrolled in a Part 107 course to get a Remote Pilot Certification from the FAA.
I also got personal liability insurance for it.
The avoidance systems on it are incredible and the optical zoom lets me stay at a safe altitude. Iâve also been learning how to take care of the batteries and perform pre-flight checks from local model aircraft enthusiasts. They are very impressed with its stability and how it handles against a moderate ocean breeze.
The return to home function makes it very beginner-friendly but Iâm still nervous flying it and definitely want a lot more flight hours under my belt.
Edit: For anyone looking to fly drones in the U.S., make sure you follow all FAA regulations. The people who donât/didnât (aka the ones who interfered with emergency response personnel) have more or less set lawmakers against hobby flying and even DJI is lobbying for strict certification.
